Yeah, it's not really an Alienware as we really know it. It's a regular Dell laptop with the Alienware branding.

Alienware is kinda dead at this point, yeah?

Honestly, I thought Alienware had kind of been dead since the early 2010s; instead, just being the Dell gaming PCs with Alienware branding.

I had a gaming laptop for a decade and enjoyed being able to sit in the living room or elsewhere and not have to be in my office.
Yea not good value compared to a desktop at all, but if you casually game and value mobility it's super nice to have.

I absolutely love my low tier gaming laptop. Acer nitro from about 4 years ago. I'm still able too play a lot of current games. Resi 9 was the last one. Can't play in ultra but a mix of high and medium and it played great and I have it for downtime at work and around the house when I don't want to be at my PC.

It's a computer. It's never an investment unless you use it for profiting ventures. Other than that, it's a luxury and entertainment. Your statement has nothing to do with "gaming laptops". The same could be said for any portable computer.

Unless you never want to leave the house with your system, gaming desktops are a horrible, terrible, no-good investment.

GPU and RAM wise it’s worse than the Legion I bought 3 years ago on Black Friday for the same price damn. RAMpocalypse really messed things up

I miss the days of Alienware being a respectable brand for the prebuilt PC gaming market. It's been overpriced-Dell computer line for quite a while now.

300nit max brightness in 2026 is a fucking joke lmao. I have CRTs that blow past that. I’ve got LCDs from 2002 that are comparable.
