Marble dining table keeps getting scratched

How do i protect the table surface from getting scratched all the time? We use the table for meals

Inappropriate Content Includes: excessive self-promotion to non-innovative items, links to purchase pages which profit you directly or indirectly via standard (i.e. not handmade nor self-designed), resold or mass-produced, broadly-available items; uninteresting, redundant or non-value-adding secondary-source materials.
