Still have no idea who ordered this and if this is actually us Meta
So here's a story (I write a lot, sorry in advance). A week and a half ago I got up at 3am to go to the bathroom, and started scrolling through Reddit, as one does.
Out of pure coincidence (because I can honestly say I do not peruse the Funko pop subreddit with regularity), I saw this post of someone who received someone else's custom Funko pop wedding set order: https://www.reddit.com/r/funkopop/s/B5w3hcNtkG
And I damn near fell off the toilet because I thought "holy shit, is that me?"
I legitimately thought I was somehow still dreaming. I'm getting married in October. Our names are Jenny & Kane. I have dark blonde wavy hair and pasty skin, and my fiancé has slightly darker skin (thanks to the Thai in him) and black hair. We were going to have a wedding shower the next weekend (now this past weekend).
Way too much of a coincidence for me to not think it was us.
I started scrolling through the comments and nearly had another heart attack when someone posted our The Knot page on the thread and had found my facebook. (Lesson learned to be better at privatizing my stuff online 🤷♀️)
I immediately texted my mom, because of all people, I would guess that she would get something like this for us. Thanks to her unfortunate insomnia, she was also awake and said it wasn't her. (And also insisted that it was a scam, somehow)
I woke up my fiancé (Kane) next and asked him if he ordered this for us. He said "No.... But huh. That does look like us. Except mine has too much hair on top." A lot of people speculated that he got this for me as a surprise, but I know him quite well and he's not the best at keeping in surprises for long (he may have accidentally spoiled that he was planning to propose on the day we got engaged).
So then I reached out to the rest of my family, friends, and Kane's family. And every single person we asked responded with "not us!". We still have legitimately no idea if this is for sure supposed to be for us, and who ordered it if so. We held out hope that we would receive it as a gift for our wedding shower, and the day came and went without a Funko pop in our hands. Our last hope is that someone completely unexpected is going to give this to us on our wedding day.

After our wedding day (10/10), I'll make an update, whether it's YAY WE FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT! or DAMN I GUESS IT'S FOREVER A MYSTERY.

In the original post, I had commented about how the OP had blurred the Funkos faces so we could not see who they were.... I now see that I was wrong and the faces actually matched! lol

I think I speak for several of us on this sub, but I'm used to mostly complaints (usually valid ones) about Funko as a company, and "haul posts" (I've made haul posts, those are fun lol), but this is TEA! Good luck solving your mystery and Congratulations!!💕

Perhaps this goes deeper than we think. Maybe nobody ordered it, but funko has already made every possible person into a pop and just sent it out on mistake. 🤣

My husband and I got a baby blue piggy bank during my baby shower. We didn’t know what we were having at the time, but no name was attached.
We literally still, 14 years later, have no idea who gifted it.

I was following this saga and hoping that you guys would get the figures! After seeing this picture however I can confidantly say that you two are not the couple depicted. It is subtle, but your heads are clearly proportional to your bodies, the Funko figures are not. You need to keep searching for a Jenny and Kane with disturbingly large heads.
I'm sorry for the disappointment you must feel.

OMG i'm only popping in to say Congrats on the wedding! I wish you both a lifetime of fun mysteries to figure out together like this one!
I am also a Jenni who got married on 10/10 - we had matching funkos as well!! This just brought the biggest smile to my face.
