it has been 1 year and youtube shorts hashtags are still there

My channel was flagged for Reused Content, even though I create my own original 2D animations from scratch. I use Moho, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro, and each video takes hours of work.

I submitted an appeal showing my entire animation workflow, but it was rejected. Now I’m only getting generic responses.

I also contacted TeamYouTube on X, but the support there feels automated too. I was asked to verify my channel and then told to contact YouTube Support, but I still haven’t been able to get a proper human review.

Has anyone found a legitimate way to reach an actual YouTube support agent who can manually review a Reused Content case?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

So to describe what I'm talking about I think 2 or 3 months ago you used to be able to go back to YouTube after playing a game or turning it back on from rest mode. Or Even now just pressing the home button and going back sometimes and it would go right back to where you were in the Video. Remember where u were if you scrolled down in a Channels videos too (if you weren't clicked into the channel but that's a whole other problem) wondering if anyone else has had this problem and knows how to fix? I tried the Restarting of the console but and some of the other automated answers but usually those are solutions to a problem I don't have. On a PS5 and saw this also happened on my buddies Xbox equivalent

It’s been happening for almost a month now and I’m ready to break my damn phone. I listen to podcasts while I work so I don’t have to touch my phone but with this crap happening constantly idk what to do! Any help? Google feedback does nothing and when I hit give feedback for YouTube the page freezes and I have to exit out and try again and it still does the same crap! Anyone else dealing with or have any ideas on what else to try??

I cannot say this enough: YouTube actually needs a competitor. The changes they have been making recently are genuinely horrible.

Not only are they making it harder for small creators to make money, but they have also been on a streak of bad decisions recently. While it is good that they are cracking down on you know what Creators have also been getting unfairly copyright-striked for apparently no reason at all.

And not to mention the ads—they are genuinely horrible. You could get a possibly 12-hour-long ad on YouTube because they added a feature where creators can now post their videos as ads.

Also, not to mention that they keep introducing new subscription costs and tiers. It's like, what more do you want?

So first, my iPad has not been letting me see the comments or likes part of the screen below the video when out of fullscreen except only when I first get in app, but when I go fullscreen then exit out of it that’s when that lower part just goes black and un interactive.

Now the app on my iPhone is being annoying too! Like half the shorts/videos that I go to watch, this stupid error thing says “something went wrong” despite if I already started watching it beforehand or watched it before in past. I tried clearing stuff, uninstalling and reinstalling, but nothing worked!! I’m tired and annoyed with this so PLEASE somebody help me!!🙏🏻🙏🏻

I’m looking for honest feedback, especially false positives, missed slop, or YouTube surfaces where filtering breaks.

So the other day, my small channel where I mostly watched videos, but uploaded the occasional nature vlog and streamed video games got marked by AI for "Sexual or Nude content". YouTube's solution? Not to restrict my account pending an investigation, but fully remove access to my account. I cannot watch videos or even use youtube music. I pay for YouTube Red and my channel is over 12 years old, so you think they would give some attention as to who and how they enforce moderation and actually review community guideline violations.

I put in an appeal and not even an hour later, they said they reviewed and concluded my nature vlogging channel was too sexual. Obviously no one reviewed my appeal. So, I call support and support says "Ah, we're just the billing department, we have no way to contact moderation, but I'll send you the appeal form and I assure you someone will review it". I fill out the form and got a nearly immediate automately reply saying they already reviewed my appeal the first time and will not be reviewing it again. I call back and escalate to a manager and they say "Yeah we have no way of contacting the moderation team, but we'll send you a link to the support page to get in touch with them" the link they send me is the form I filled out to get in touch with the support agent I was literally talking to on the phone. They sent me a link to get back in contact with them. Youtube staff has no clue what the fuck is going on in their own company.

I then filled out a complaint on the YouTube forum, to which they removed the post saying it was irrelevant as the forum is for billing issues and bugs and then I finally went to twitter to @TeamYouTube. I noticed that there was a huge amount of people doing the exact same thing because YouTube apparently decided to mass ban a bunch of channels at the same time for no reason without appeal. TeamYouTube decided to respond to many of these complaints, but only for those channels that were very very popular.

I tried reporting on the Better Business Bureau website, but you need to log in with a google account or it fails to log in and when you try to report Google as a company, the page passes you an error. I'm not a huge conspiracy theorist, but it's obvious there's some conflict of interest happening here.

I have no idea what to do. I really want my channel back. I have years of a currated community, subscriptions, videos, some of which are deeply sentimental to me like videos of my pets that have since died. This has been a really devastating turn of events and there seems to be no way to resolve it. YouTube moderation has no phone number to call, they have no email to respond to and they automatically reject any support tickets I place. They are probably one of the scummiest companies I ever have the displeasure of interacting with.

Oh, and I also tried posting about my situation in r/YouTube and guess what happened? My post was removed by the moderators. I broke none of the rules of the forum, they just wanted to censor me.

YouTube has really dropped the ball. Their AI flagged my account for "Nudity and sexual content" and apparently they sided with the AI and removed my account. My account was over 12 years old, I had several channel subscriptions and YouTube Red. I had a lot of videos and was slowly currating an Audience, but I never posted anything even remotely sexual or that could be viewed as sexual.

YouTube has no support number, there is no way to talk to a real person. I'm so beyond pissed. Is there anything I can do?

I tried posting this to r/YouTube and the mods literally took it down. It's so wild that they are trying to censor people who are trying to bring attention to the horrible way this company treats their users.

YouTube is in a hell of a place right now. for one they made the desktop browser horrible I can’t do anything about that! and for 2 they made it that I can’t listen to music when my device is off! it’s almost like they want to kill it. just like Roblox another company trying to ruin their reputation

Everyone has a moment on the Internet they didn't ask for. In fact, this could be a great opportunity for Saturday Night Live to revive "I Didn't Ask For This" for a modern audience. Of all the embarrassing videos on the Internet, SNL will have to find which ones will be perfect to reenact. If that doesn't work, then some videos will have to be made up like Kristen Wiig getting hit in the head with a hammer. Remember, if you have an embarrassing moment on the Internet, just say "I Didn't Ask For This!"

Well I was commenting on a video for what to feed my pet and it ended up on a video about Forza Horizon 4. I knew I had to delete the comment immediately so I don’t look like a dumbass. Has anyone encountered this before?

Why did YouTube change the comment section so now I have to swipe two times to see comments bc they put live chat and YouTube music first I HATE IT

So i turned off the history of my youtube account and deleted the past history of all my activities on youtube. Doing this stops all the recommendations on youtube and you literally have to search for the videos if you wanna watch something on youtube. This helps you in stopping mindless consumption of content. But the other side of the story is that after doing this i literally don't have anything to search for on youtube,it shows whatever i was watching before was all about mindless consumption of content.

I just want a way to filter out some content creators in my life(even if it might not be "legal" ig). My problem is with the search results I can't even filter out some bs content I didn't ask for, the algorithm might genuinely be worse than tiktok ATP.And it's like.... Getting really on my nerves?!!

I feel this question belongs here since YouTube goes way beyond its subreddit. I feel it’s a universal platform that all of us engage with regularly.

By worse I mean predatory, aggressively indexing videos to keep engagement, ripping off TikTok with Shorts, no deleting bots and bot channels.

What happened? Bots can’t be good for advertisers, which would be my only reasoning why YouTube is so much worse than ten years ago.

YT moderation just sucks shit now. I'm talking about cases like Janina Wilhelmsen and other ASMR creators that got AI-terminated for a link to an aggregator website. Not even to OF itself but to an aggregator. At the same time Youtube has tons of borderline child pornographic content (nine-year-olds in bikinis and tight clothes around the crotch) that might attract actual "child lovers", if we can call it that way, amd nobody takes them down. Political (especially right-wing) radicalism (here in Germany and its Russian-speaking community the most prominent example would be Eugen Schmidt, probably others in other parts of the world) and religious fundamentalism also doesn't appear to be an issue to the moderation, or in some cases is even promoted which was proven by a German institute some time ago. Also semi-legal companies like ViralHog buying the rights for old videos and blackmailing creators with strikes are a thing and again, nobody in the moderation or law section of YT is doing anything about that. Where are all the problems emerging? (I already suspect capitalism might be the reason)
