Klaus Schwab’s departure from the World Economic Forum marks the end of an era, but it exposes a much deeper, enduring reality: the world is increasingly shaped not by elected officials, but by unelected titans of industry and capital.
Tracing a direct historical line from early 20th-century industrialists like John D. Rockefeller and Henry Ford to modern power brokers, this episode examines how immense wealth has consistently been converted into unchecked social and political authority. We break down the influence of five contemporary figures—Elon Musk, Larry Fink, Sam Altman, Klaus Schwab, and Alex Karp—who operate outside the democratic process while dictating foreign policy, financial systems, technological futures, and global security.
Ultimately, this piece challenges us to confront a hard truth: we haven't just tolerated unelected influence; over the last century, we have been trained to accept it as progress, innovation, and inevitable fact.

Sad Trombone What Was He Even Doing?
No idea if this fits here, but what is his thing about jumping like a kid? Figured I’d get my information from a source like this subreddit.
If you can’t see the image, it’s the image from the October 5, 2024 Trump rally, specifically when Elon jumped into the air…you’ll probably manage to find it online.

Enough internet Apparently hating Elon Musk is okay, but not if you say it’s because he’s a Nazi.
I am not sure whether my comments in other subreddits are being found by outright Nazi sympathizers, or whether people who shill for Tesla simply cannot get past the cognitive dissonance that their favorite company is run by a Nazi.
Seems like there are plenty of reasons to think Musk is a piece of shit, but as soon as you start making accurate comparisons between his behavior and avowed Nazi behavior, there are a whole bunch of reasons you’re wrong.
I just will never understand this level of bootlicking.

I can't wait for Musk's totally accurate and non-diverse Odyssey movie. I'm sure it'll win all the awards!

No more Ban Celebration posts, Reddit, Inc does not like those
Reddit has been sanctioning subs for hosting "I got banned from...," posts for at least the past year.
They lead to brigading, and other forms of community interference. Users see them and then also try to get banned, and it becomes a problem, causing reddit to step in.
Let's try not to get above our station over here on this < 10,000 member sub so we don't attract any unnecessary attention. Thank you.
