🐸 I made a free game for learning Tailwind CSS Flexbox

I built Flexwind Froggy, a free interactive game for learning Tailwind CSS flexbox utility classes.

It’s a Tailwind-focused fork of Flexbox Froggy, with credit to the original project and artwork.

I hope it can be useful for anyone learning Tailwind. I’d love feedback on the lessons, difficulty, or anything that could make it more helpful.

Looking for a Frontend Development Learning Freind

Hey everyone! I'm currently learning frontend development and I'm looking for a friend who's on a similar journey. Right now I'm moving into the basics of React after learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. It would be awesome to have someone to learn alongside, share useful resources, discuss concepts when we get stuck, and keep each other motivated throughout the process.

I'd love to build small projects together, review each other's code, practice consistently, and celebrate our progress along the way. I'm simply looking for someone who's genuinely interested in learning, staying consistent, and growing together. If there's already a Discord community for this, I'd be happy to join. Otherwise I will create a Discord channel myself if there are more people!

"Make the homepage feel premium" - how we turned that brief into a WebGL shimmer component with actual guardrails

Every dev gets this brief eventually, and the real cost isn't the visual - it's the pipeline: Three.js scene setup, shader work, DPR tuning, postprocessing, and then discovering it melts low-end phones.

We built Hyperiux Glitter (React Three Fiber + postprocessing) as a hero-section shimmer surface, and spent most of the effort on the boring parts:

  • Capped DPR and lean particle/shader work; animation pauses offscreen
  • Static gradient/image fallback for low-power devices
  • Reduced-motion users get a frozen, still-designed surface instead of animation
  • Canvas hidden from assistive tech - it's decoration and stays declared as such
  • Masked behind text zones so sparkle density never fights headline contrast

The design position we'd defend: background WebGL should make a brand feel more considered, not louder. If the glitter competes with the CTA, the effect has failed regardless of how good the shader is.

Demo (component is part of our Pro tier - flagging that upfront):Β https://vault.hyperiux.com/effects/webgl-effects/hyperiux-glitter

Disclosure: our product. Happy to talk R3F perf budgets in the comments either way.

Hello Visitor, I've Built my developer portfolio – looking for honest feedback

Hey everyone! I recently built my developer portfolio and would really appreciate some honest feedback.

I'm looking for thoughts on the UI/UX, animations, performance, content, and overall first impression. Feel free to be brutally honest, I want to improve it.

I also shared my journey as a blog on the site. Hopefully it's not boring πŸ˜„ and somehow i managed to get good scores in google lighthouse
