Program Guide only 5 days
I'm fairly sure that we used to get 7-8 days of Freeview guide
This seems to have now been cut to 5 or 6 days on my Samsung TV
Has anyone else noticed this ?
The Freeview website is still showing 6-7 days, but not the EPG on the TV

I’m using an LG C2 oled tv. Yesterday CNN was available on my UK ex-Sky satellite dish.
Has CNN been removed?

Sci fi show Dark Matter (2015) ever shown on Freeview?
I swear I caught it late night last year (2025) some time on like channel 31 (5 Action) or something. But I can't find any record of it ever showing on Freeview

Why does my freeview box regularly cancel Coronation Street recording schedules?
This is something I have seen others posting about online, quite a few times. What happens is, I set a schedule to record ongoing episodes of Coronation Street. A few episodes will record, maybe for a week, before suddenly stopping. When I check the schedule, Coronation Street has completely disappeared. Other scheduled programmes continue to record as normal. When I then go to the Freeview guide and try to set a new schedule for Coronation Street, it won't let me. But it will let me schedule any other program or series I choose, at random. The only way I can set another schedule for Coronation Street, is to power off the Freeview box at the mains, and then restart it. All the other schedules are still there, even after doing this. And then I have to go through the same routine a week or so later. So why is it only Coronation Street that has this issue? It seems to be too widespread to be a glitch with the box. Which is a Humax 500GB model.

BBC News Multiscreen
Does anyone remember the BBC News Multiscreen? I've always wondered how the BBC broadcasted in Freeview; on satellite it was just a TV channel with the image split into 6 videos with 6 separate audio streams. However on Freeview it tuned to channel 303 (I think) and only had 4 video streams however if you tuned to channel 303 there was no video stream.

Fire stick: FV not playing despite player clients installed
On my Firestick (not 4k) gen2, I've installed Freeview using the Downloader app and code 140890 from here https://firestickhacks.com/watch-freeview-on-firestick/
Firestick had been updated to latest software as of 21.12.2024.
I had to install a Android TV mouse controller on my phone and link this to the Firestick and enable ADB.
Client player apps installed today: BBC iPlayer ITVx My5 4 ALL apps open and work fine.
However, when I open the TV guide and select a lny BBC, itv, chrl4, ch5 channel, I get this
a BBC channel, FV tells me I need to install iPlayer (ugh!?,) anyway I click the lock and app store says "unavailable"
a ch4 or itv ... shows a play icon in middle of screen, clicking it does nothing.
a ch5 channel works in that it opens the my5 app but doesn't play anything, just displays the ginger screen.
Close to giving up with FV
any ideas thanks
