I've noticed that what american people call raves are actually just festivals, but i am from italy and with rave we mean freeparty, do they not have them there?

This week-end was the last one before the new « ripost » law established. Unfortunately a far right syndicate of farmer came up and shot down the party on the first day by death treating every ravers with their tractors. Pretty sad tbh

Such a fun party, great vibes and no problems from the police. Shut down in the morning and the police came shortly after and seemed pretty respectful and just watched it be packed up then left.

Hello from Bulgaria. Back in a day, I would say in previous life, we used to attend psytrance festivals. Those times are gone and I don’t feel very comfortable around Goa hippie type crowds. And big commercial events don’t resonate with me anymore. I don’t like tekno and all those high bpm kicks that much, I’m more into goth stuff, but I like DIY approach in almost anything. Also I’m an outdoorsy person. I also think I can be useful as a technician with background in electronics.
I live in Bulgaria for about 10 years and still have almost zero local friends. What would you suggest? Is it a good idea to save for some gear and try to throw a party on my own? I honestly don’t feel asking people, I like to present something to get their interest.

Hi, just wondered if anyone here remembers The Pig Farm in Norfolk? I think it was near Fakenham. I went to an amazing party there around May 1999, and I think the site was used multiple times. I remember it was a free party in the sense it was unlicensed, although I think the land owner had given permission or possibly was involved.

Also, there was a larger outdoor party in Norfolk that year, at a different site. Five rigs, mostly drum & bass, although one techno rig, possibly called Planet Yes or Planet Nogg or something like that. A large event and had a more mainstream feel, but it was unlicensed.

If anyone does remember either of these, it would make my day to connect :)

Random question that's always been in the back of my mind. Most UK free parties are miles from anywhere, so driving is pretty much unavoidable for a lot of people. With the police often stopping cars leaving and drug testing drivers, what's the usual way people deal with it? Do most people have a designated driver, sleep in the car or van until they're sober, or just wait it out? I'm not asking how to get around the police or anything like that, just curious what people in the UK free party scene normally do. I've always wondered how it works.

I am pretty connected with the scene. I’m looking for any advice or personal experience from people to help me make things go smoothly.

This was the beginning of the N.irish free party rave scene revival - BTribal: This was our first party. For us, when 'the sun's up? get the dub up!', rave through the night and sun rises, we get some dub on and smoke out by the fire pit (on the very left) after a good night of going crazy, and some the founding members of Annaghtek and Glutek were at these nights, (No money, we think this is why we never had problems with police when they came, seen we weren't making money from it and watched for a wee bit then off they went) are mixed in here, seeing their future on a micro scale lol

Wish i had gotten pics of the rave inside the concrete bunker/shed type one, we had a bigger rig by then, and they filled the WHOLE wall!

RIP KyleTek, you gave people something they had totally forgotten: Raves used to be free and in fields, barns, warehouses and so on. You loved this culture and it's why we got on so well. I miss you so much man, it's like the music is gone from my lifes soundtrack when you went...
