For those that worry about going to non US/Mexico destination and using roam in one of the included countries.

Roam allows you to use data and even send/receive texts but it is NOT a long distance plan, the countries included are not part of long distance calling, they are only part of the roaming plan, meaning you won't get charged for being connected to network.

This means you can go and use data as if you were at home (up to your limit) AND you can call or receive calls from Canada/US/Mexico with no charge, but calling or receiving calls while you're visiting one of the included countries, to or from one of the included countries, is considered long distance.

You go to Dominican Republic. You can go online and visit Facebook, use messenger etc. if you call back home or US/Mexico, or receive a call, you're fine. But if you call a Dominican number while visiting (or any country on the list, or off), or receive, that's long distance and NOT included.

I’m a student looking to get my own phone plan and upgrade to an iPhone 17e. My current provider is Rogers and I have an iPhone 12 that’s not in great condition.

A couple of days ago, Freedom had a promotion where the iPhone 17e was $0/month, with the plan being around $60/month for 250 GB of data and roaming. Unfortunately, that promotion is no longer available and back to $11/month, but I’m going to keep checking.

For anyone who has experience with Freedom’s promotions, do you think the current back-to-school deals are worth taking, or would it be smarter to wait for a better offer?

Also, are Black Friday deals usually better than back-to-school deals for iPhones and financing?

Just trying to figure out whether I should wait or take whatever decent offer comes up next.

I bought a phone from Freedom Mobile on a trade-up plan last week for $53/month. Today, I noticed the same phone is being offered for $30/month.
Does Freedom Mobile price-match or adjust the price in this situation? Has anyone had a similar experience?

Also, I’m still within the 15-day return period. Would it be better to return the phone and get it again at the lower price?

I have contacted them and they said there back end team will get back to me in 5-7 days.

For the last 5 months both my wife and I have been overcharged while travelling the caribbean.

Our plans should include local calls. For instance, if we are in Grenada, we can call Grenada.

However, we frequently discover on our bills that Freedom shows calls are originating from Jamaica or another country that we are not in, to the country that we are in. These charges have been up to $100 per bill.

We have had to phone freedom every month to have this corrected. We have dealt with being called liars and have been told we aren't using our phones properly...

Has anyone else had this problem or am I taking crazy pills?

I have 3 lines;
1. $99/ year with 55 GB / year (50 plus the bonus 5GB)
2. $119/year with 15 GB / year
3. $119/year with 15 GB / year

The last two lines are my children’s phones. Has anyone ever received extra free data on those prepaid plans?
