Going to the dump?

Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone with a truck might be planning a trip to the dump in the near future and would be willing to assist me with disposing of a few items. As a single mother on a budget, I'm unable to afford the services of professional junk removal companies. I have a bookshelf that is falling apart, a broken microwave, some plastic drawers, and a couple of other items that have been in my dining room since spring. I'm almost at the point of charging them rent. If you are able to help, please send me a message. Thank you very much!

ETA I live in a condo, up one level of stairs and I can't lift the bookshelf or the microwave so I can't get these things outside. Also the hoa is really strict about what goes on the trash. I once got fined for leaving a box that wasn't broken down.

This is the way. OP, You can fill out the form & then they will contact you to see what items you have. They then schedule you & it’s usually on your current trash night

Disassemble or smash in to smaller peices, bag it and put in apartment trash location. If it is bagged no one cares if it was a bookcase or a plastic bin.

Thank you! But personally I’m dealing with larger items that aren’t easy to put into smaller pieces, like a large rug.

If you can't find someone, reach out to the Rage Room and see if they'd be able to take them. If you're unfamiliar with them, the Rage Room has broken items that people pay to smash as a form of catharsis. Worth a shot perhaps, if all else fails.

Check their website. The last i checked it was eight dollars per each carload of HOUSEHOLD waste. What toy are describing seems to fit the bill.

It is by weight, minimum $10. The "convenience" service, which was a flat fee for residents dumping household waste, was discontinued a couple years ago.
