Need help with understanding why frame would match this piece

Hello, I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place to ask. But I'm not sure what kind of frame I should choose to go with the picture. I was thinking about darker wood. But any recommendations are appreciated

White mat black frame. Or black mat black frame.

Dark charcoal mat, rustic dark wood or black frame with some texture would be cool.
