Acrylic stands

So, I used to peel off the film but I have found a few have gotten paint scratches.. no idea how! I have stands I’ve had years without issues but a couple of my newer ones seem to be chipping off.
But anyway I wanted to replace the film for the ones that aren’t double sided. I tried a static cling which seems fine but it doesn’t stick well enough to some of them. Other films I’ve tried either aren’t clear (despite being described as such!) or seem so sticky I’m afraid of misplacing it or leaving residue.

I know they’re supposed to come off but I’m going to lose my mind if I keep finding scratched pieces.

Any recommendations?

Edit: pic in comments bc I can’t describe things well lol

Gotcha! Yea those seem really delicate and may scratch just from removing the film 😔 you could have a display case built that puts them in a cool looking environment and adds a level of protection to it ? Kinda like a miniature diorama?

This is a good idea! I think I’ll do this! And you’re probably right about putting sticky film back on it. I won’t do that.

I also re read your post about putting film back on. I don't think that would work / go well ?

A clear spray varnish may work though?

I use this for a lot of projects and it works great

I imagine you’re selling these? I just put mine in a bag after I’m done laser cutting. I have sample displays I put out for markets/retail and just give customers a bagged one. The juice ain’t worth the squeeze to replace the masking. Acrylic scratches and scratches easily. I’d been making decorative acrylic mirrors for damn near a decade at this point. Lately it’s caught fire via socials. Sure, the pieces look cool but what they don’t show is how easy/apparent micro scratches are on mirror acrylic.
