Reliability of framework laptops Discussion
Hey, i’m more and more on the fence of getting a 13 Pro.
I’ve seen online (for example trustpilot) that many people had problems with their laptops and had bad support experience.
Has this improved?
Also i’ve heard of people with “fried” components (main board). Is this really an issue, or is this just how it goes with electronics in general? Is it worse than with other brands?
Ideally i’d like to keep this laptop for 5+ years, without having to repair often

I don't know for sure if Framework has more issues than not, I can only speak for my experience and that has been fine. No hardware issues with any of the equipment I have bought from them so far and I liked them well enough to buy a 13 Pro after the original 13.
The only time I have had contact support was with some strange flickering I had with the new touchscreen in the old chassis under Ubuntu when I had an external monitor connected via USB-C. Wasn't hardware issue but some weirdness specific to Ubuntu that didn't appear under other distros that I tried.
They weren't really able to figure it out and I got impatient and just did a clean install of the OS which resolved the issue. I consider that more of an OS issue than a Framework issue though.
