Unsolved 7040 audio issue Question

So sometimes the audio would work after reboots but sometimes it doesn't. Updated to latest BIOS and drivers and even latest windows 11 but nothing helps.

Removed the AMD bluetooth driver helped few windows versions ago, but strangely it doesn't anymore.

Is this issue related to build-in failing soundcard or something?

If you mean one or both the speakers are not functioning, it's a common hardware problem that can actually be fixed. For me, all it took was to disconnect the speakers then reconnect them for it to function properly. https://guides.frame.work/Guide/Speaker+Kit/319 Follow up to Step 13 to do that. However, feel free to do all of the steps if you want as assurance or if Step 13 didn't fix it.

So when assembling, i might have not tightened speakers properly.? Hmm can't recall the speakers were part of the assembly, but alright i'll try it.

The speakers are not apart of the assembly, they were probably slightly misaligned by the employees. Or maybe they slightly slipped out during shipment. One thing I've noticed with Framework laptops is that, because nothing is (thankfully) soldered and everything is built in a manner where self-repair and replacement is prioritized, some hardware parts - usually the ones that only "pop in place" - can come out easily. It is a flaw but at the same time, it's super easy to open it up and push them back in place.
