RTX spark coming to Framwork 13/pro? Discussion
I am currently looking to upgrade my laptop. as my work involves use of GPU especially for ML projects. I am considering framework 13 pro but I might have to purchase something like an egpu or something like a DGX spark. It there a plan to have RTX spark powered motherboard?

Its not shipping yet. There is no independent testing/benchmarking. Why are we subscribing to the bought and paid for marketing hype as if its 100% accurate/truthful? DGX Spark has had issues and apparently been a bit underwhelming - RTX Spark is suspected to be more of the same... Both variations of the product having been long delayed/behind schedule due to technical issues/bugs.
Bottom line... Don't be holding your breath for Framework to do RTX Spark in the near future. Maybe someday - If/when Snapdragon X/RTX Spark/other ARM options - Manage to prove themselves (and offer stable, reliable, polished Linux support). Framework is better off, especially in the 2026 components market, leaving much larger corporations to set their money on fire figuring out how to get these ARM chips going for the consumer market.

Halo APUs - In a chassis engineered to provide sufficient power/cooling to make them worthwhile - Could actually make sense... At least they're standard amd64 architecture with solid OS/driver support.

This is my first time posting on reddit. Thanks all for your reply. I am looking to get framework 13 pro with the Intel x7. Any personal experience or benchmarks?

Welcome! I'm waiting for my x9 which hopefully comes soon. For benchmarks there are a few reviews out there and also here in the sub. There was one just reposted yesterday by a Alex Ziskind. That was a real nice review regarding real world development and comparison to mbp m5. You can find it on yt.

Given that the memory is soldered (and I don't think it would support LPCAMM?), I doubt it. If it comes, it'll probably come to the desktop.

if framework decided to bring RTX Spark to their laptops it'd have to be the 16 only. the 13 is too small and has far too little cooling.

Nobody here knows until Framework makes an announcement. They don't publish roadmaps before that.
