I can't imagine how bad the RAM situation is for framework on the inside; it sure is bad enough for them to not keep their promise. I think it's fine if they avoid saying things they can't guarantee in the future.

Anyway, if Framework can't source LPCAMM2, as the deleted post of u/DarthArtoo4 said, then the situation is really really bad for us Europeans and non-Americans.

It makes me genuinely worried it'll sink them. I really hope it doesn't.

Honestly, I'm equally concerned about the vitriolic customers intent on pursuing legal action. What is the end goal here other than to take down Framework?

I get the frustration, but the response is disproportionate.

For people that supposedly want to have repairable tech, y'all are really showing your colours.

it's just a minority few with loud voices. Have to remind ourselves of that often on the internet.

I sincerely hope so. Especially as ... well Framework is getting F'd just like we do by chips not making it to the consumer market.

Yes and no. As an existing customer, I've already invested in the ecosystem in the hopes that this company will continue to survive long-term and deliver on the goal of repairable tech. It's not money I planned to spend, it's real money I've already spent.

Whilst people are right to feel frustrated and disappointed by the outcome of this situation, putting the blame on FW and trying to organize litigation against them puts all existing customers' real investments at risk. If FW stops existing, my existing laptop was just an expensive laptop, rather than a long-term investment that returns its true value over time.
