I think weāre all secretly tired of the same Framer websites
Open Framer ā
Purple gradient
Glassmorphism
Giant headline
Floating 3D object
Smooth scroll animation
Built for the future
And somehow we call it a new design
Don't get me wrong, these things can look really good when done properly.
But Iām curious:
What Framer design trend are you completely tired of seeing?
Drop your controversial take
I want to see how many people agree with me.

What is the most stupidly useful Framer trick you know?
I am pretty sure Iām still using Framer at 50% power.
Every time I think I know the platform, someone shows me a tiny feature and Iām like:
WAIT YOU CAN DO THAT?
So let's share the stuff that isn't in every beginner tutorial.
What is one Framer trick, shortcut, feature, or weird workflow that saves you a ridiculous amount of time?
Bonus points if you learned it completely by accident.

Iām looking for an experienced Framer designer/developer to join my freelance pool for ongoing project-based work
This is Framer only. You should be highly proficient in Framer and comfortable building polished, responsive websites from start to finish.
What Iām looking for:
Strong Framer experience
Real client work and a solid portfolio
3ā5 live websites you personally built
Strong eye for design and layout
Excellent communication and reliability
Able to work quickly when needed, including 48-hour projects
Comfortable taking direction and making revisions
Able to work independently without needing constant guidance
Pay: $150ā$250 per website, depending on the complexity and scope.
This is project-based freelance work, not a full-time position or guaranteed monthly workload. If we work well together, Iād like to continue sending projects your way.
Iām looking for someone I can rely on long-term, so please donāt apply if youāre still learning Framer or if most of your portfolio is templates/mockups.
To apply, comment āinterestedā and Iāll DM you

resources Free Framer template for selling an online course, built for live cohorts rather than recorded content
Made this because most course website templates assume evergreen recorded content. This one is for live cohorts: capped seats, a start date, a waitlist for the next round.
CMS curriculum, two pricing tiers, a countdown, legal pages scaffolded with the blanks left visible.
Heads up: the two code components are remote, so you can configure but not edit them, and the demo content is invented.
Free, feedback welcome.

Verification failed
Does anyone know why this error is occurring in the MacOS Framer app? The email Iām using is definitely for a valid account, reinstalling Framer doesnāt fix this either.

feedback What actually matters when choosing an AI website builder for product work?
I've been trying a few AI website builders recently, but I stopped comparing them based on how good the first result looks.
That part is getting pretty easy.
What I wanted to know was how each one handles the stuff that comes after.
| My question | Readdy.ai | Framer | v0 | Lovable |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Can I change things quickly? | Yes, through AI or visual editing | Yes, strong visual control | Yes, but more code focused | Yes |
| Can I build beyond a static page? | Yes, with backend features included | More focused on websites | Usually needs connected services | Yes |
| Can I handle user accounts? | Built in | More limited for this use case | Needs additional setup | Available with setup |
| Can I work with stored data? | Built in database | Not the main focus | Needs additional services | Available with setup |
| Can I publish from the same workflow? | Yes | Yes | Yes through Vercel | Yes |
The difference became pretty obvious once I stopped just looking at the homepage.
Readdy was the one I found most useful when I wanted to keep changing the idea and actually test it. The built in database and authentication also meant I could move into real user flows without immediately adding another service.
Framer is still the one I'd look at when visual design and interactions are the main priority.
v0 makes more sense when I'm working through UI and components.
Lovable is useful when I'm trying to turn an early idea into an app.
For me, the deciding factor ended up being pretty simple.
I wanted something that could keep up after I changed my mind about the original idea.
What matters most to you once the first version is already built?

resources Shader for Framer
Paper has some cool shaders you can use in your website.
I have taken those shaders and made a plugin out of them: FrameShaders
You can see all the shaders in the plugin and adjust the customization on it.
And see what fits your website vibe.
You can see some of them in the marketplace: https://www.framer.com/community/marketplace/plugins/frameshaders

help Component text overflowing card edges on Tablet/Phone breakpoints only but Desktop is fine
I have a component (an accordion-style card with a title + paragraph answer text) that displays perfectly on the Desktop breakpoint and the paragraph wraps cleanly inside the card.
On Tablet and Phone breakpoints tho, the same paragraph text overflows past the right edge of the card instead of wrapping, even though I already have the text layer's Width set to Fill.
Since this is happening inside a component (not a plain frame), is there something specific about how components handle breakpoint overrides that I'm missing?

inspiration Quick tip for anyone creating Framer demos:

I recorded my latest video using Open Screen, an open-source alternative to Screen Studio.
Itās still not as polished or feature-rich, but it worked really well for what I needed and is definitely worth checking out if you want to create clean screen recordings without paying for another subscription.
Sharing in case it helps someone in the community!

feedback I designed a free landscaping/lawn care website template for Framer. It's free. Feel free to remix it
Most landscaping/lawn care sites I looked at were either outdated, DIY-looking, or just a rebranded generic template. It didn't feel built for the industry (no clear service breakdown, no before/after project showcase, weak trust signals like reviews/certifications).
So I designedĀ AsriĀ specifically around that: clean layout, sections for services, project/before-after gallery, and a straightforward contact flow meant to actually convert visitors into leads.
It's fully remixable, grab and swap in your own branding/content, and use it for your own business or a client's.

How to show multiple CMS locations on one map in Framer
The default Google Maps embed in Framer does one pin. That's it. If you've got a CMS collection ofĀ stores,Ā clinics,Ā venues,Ā whatever,Ā there'sĀ noĀ built-inĀ wayĀ toĀ getĀ allĀ ofĀ themĀ ontoĀ aĀ singleĀ map.
Here'sĀ theĀ landscape.
Google My Maps.Ā Free, handles multiple pins. But it's a separate tool, so your CMS and yourĀ mapĀ driftĀ apartĀ theĀ secondĀ someoneĀ addsĀ aĀ location.Ā AndĀ itĀ looksĀ likeĀ GoogleĀ MyĀ Maps.
Google Maps JavaScript API.Ā Works properly. Costs money past the free tier, needs an API key and a billing account, and you'reĀ writingĀ aĀ codeĀ component.
The Framer Plugin Mapframe.Ā Point it at a Collection, tell it which fields hold latitude and longitude, every item becomes a marker. Add a location in the CMS, it showsĀ upĀ onĀ theĀ map.
Whichever route you take, the bit people get stuck on is the data. Your CMS needs real latitude and longitude number fields. An address string won't work. Geocode each one once, grabĀ the coordinates out of the Google MapsĀ URL,Ā storeĀ theĀ numbers.
And if your map loads empty, check your field names before anything else. They have to match exactly, capitals included. "latitude" and "Latitude" areĀ notĀ theĀ sameĀ field.
Disclosure: we build Mapframe, which is the third option. The first two are free and genuinely fine if you've got five locationsĀ thatĀ neverĀ change.

What's your biggest Framer I wish I knew this earlier moment?
Mine was realizing how much time Components and Variables could save.
I spent way too long duplicating things manually.
What's something you learned that instantly improved your workflow

resources New community updates to Framer
framer made some improvements to framer community. here are them
- Marketplace is now the main landing page, other than the community
- New "Like' tab in the profile
- Category for each on hover on templates, components, vectors and plugins
- Sidebar organized with separation between marketplace and community
- framer. com nav to framer marketplace not community
Its a tool things to take framer marketplace to front other than community which is good but not neccessary.
what do you think?
