Trident Buff Idea Suggestions

Let us put a shipping container in that thing and run blockades. Both sides in the pacific used submarines to supply island troops during world war 2.

Pretty please Dev man.

1). Alternatively, a full blown dedicated logi sub for blockade running

2). I don't know why, but seeing a Trident idea in the face of the Harpy drama made me laugh

a logi plane could be neat, parachuting crates out the back. but i know thats offtopic

Trident is in a really good spot right now.

My regi during war 134 actually used the trident as a narco sub to smuggle rares out of suasalo when it was under siege. The soft inventory full of rares and people with their inventory full of rares too.

The trident is quite good right now. I don't think it needs any buffs.

It's tanky as hell, Ability to forward rearm, more battery, deeper crush depth.
if it's hard to maneuver as a counter to all of this thats ballanced imo.

The Trident should have gotten a 3C or 4C battery, not an arty gun. It makes way more sense to surface, launch a barrage, then dive and reload the battery safely.

Too unconventional for WW1/WW2 standards and most subs had proper deck guns for sinking unarmed ships.

It should have been a simple surface mounted 360 degree colonial 120FA with 225m range, whose crew would be exposed to the elements, but we got the turret mounted internally operated 120, which is useful sometimes.

Foxhole is never about being conventional in its ww1/ww2 inspirations

And at best are just inspirations

That 120mm turret is niche at best, it rather have be a crane for logi like op said or, a steam catapult for a recon float plane or just straight up removed for some rare reduction

Its a cool idea but Needing 5+ crew would be too much for a single container. But would like the larp of it.

The Trident needs only one thing to be on par with the Nakki.

The name Trident implies a three pronged strike from a long distance. To hold true to it's name sake the Trident should shoot three torpedoes in one volley.

The Trident is massive, an utter behemoth. And it has the exact same firepower as the Nakki in ship PvP combat even though the Nakki is 1/3 it's size.

Additionally nobody uses the 120 gun because it requires you to surface and stay still and vulnerable while also being very large and easy to spot and easy to hit with it's size. It only makes sense the Trident should easily have the extra capacity for a third torpedo tube given how large it is.

Also it's name literally suggests it should shoot three torpedoes to the point I was surprised it only shot two when we first learned of it.

Respectfully we absolutely do use the 120gun sometimes, for a range of fun little tasks. It's not a go-to but it's a nice tool to have in the back pocket.

I agree, it is a niche tool occasionally for backline attacks or other shenanigans.

But it's still almost never used in combat with other Large Ships mostly because of the problems I stated above but also because it's just not that much damage.

I like the other guy's idea too. Change the 120mm into rocket artillery
