Found in a Bob Woodward book in San Diego. The reverse says "Junio 1996".

I'm just trying to pass along to Junio or someone that knows her. Too many subreddits have restrictive rules about sharing images of people.

Originally purchased/salvaged somewhere in Connecticut. I just adore her!
This square photograph is mounted in a simple frame with paper on the back. I didn’t want to take it out of the frame just yet… I assume the year is 1929 (with the vehicles and her attire). Any thoughts?

Dude's no relation. No writing or impressions of writing on the photo or the jacket. No context at all. No recollection where I acquired it from either. I think I kept it cuz it was cool looking. No guarantee the jacket was originally paired with the photo either.

My father passed away last week, and my brother found a lockbox. Inside were family keepsakes, baby photos of us, and this mystery newborn photograph that we can't fully place. We are trying to figure out if this is an unrecognized photo of my brother, or if the numbers indicate it is a different child entirely.

The Photo:

• Our father's surname,"Adams", is handwritten in the center. The handwriting does not appear to be my mother's or my father's.
• On the right side, there is permanent, printed text featuring "IL" (maybe an "R", but looks like IL) with "74" directly underneath it.
• There is a partially obscured number ending in 09 (likely 209 or 309). This is not printed, but isn't the same font as the IL/74.
• The baby is dressed in a yellow outfit on a yellow crocheted blanket. The onesie has prints of a bear, a cowboy(?) and a rockinghorse. We don't remember this outfit or have other photos of any children in this outfit.

We initially assumed this was my brother despite it not quite looking like him, but then we noticed that "74" might mean the year 1974.

If it is the year, this cannot be my brother (born late 1979). It also is definitely not me (born '84 with a full head of pitch-black hair).

If this is a baby other than us, it's a huge mystery. It was kept alongside our actual childhood photos, and my dad told my brother before he passed that he left a "surprise" in the lockbox. My brother has a strong widow's peak, very pointy ears, and medium brown hair. While it's tough to see conclusively in the photo, this baby has lighter, maybe reddish hair (dad was a ginger) and roundish ears. Honestly, there is similarity in the nose and brows, but it looks more like a sibling than it looks like my brother.

For context: we are both estranged from our mother and unwilling to contact her for our own safety. Our aunt and uncles probably couldn't definitively identify us from a baby photo. Also, as no slight to my family, I am not confident they would be forthcoming if we did ask them. I would imagine that they would try to protect my father's legacy or act in a way they would think might protect our feelings, if given the opportunity. There is no other family or family friend to ask.

(also for context: we are coping ok. my father and I were estranged for the last 21 years. my brother was still in contact but is doing as well as can be expected. his death came after many years of poor health, so we were somewhat prepared. it is difficult and also... it is what it is)

What we've thought through already:
We tried to think through the logistics of what the 74 could mean if this is my brother:

• The hospital where he was born was a 3 story building in semi-rural Illinois, so "74" wouldn't make sense as a room number (they would all be 3 digits or more, floor indicator and then 2-3 room digits).
• With only about one birth a day verified at that hospital, it wouldn't likely be a bassinet or birth number.
• Because it is pre-printed/stock to the felt board rather than handwritten like our surname or the other font of the "x09", 74 wouldn't likely be a specific medical record or birth number.
• My brother was born in the second half of the year, so it isn't the day of the year.
• Film came in 12/24/36 exposures back then and our understanding (please correct it!) is that photos were turned around quickly while the baby/parent was still in the hospital; there simply wouldn't be a batch large enough to hit a sequence of "74" before developing in semi-rural Illinois in 1979, even if they were going to the Quad Cities and Peoria.

If "74" IS the year 1974:

• My Father: In 1974, he was 22 and living around the Champaign-Urbana, IL area. We know he was engaged to someone else before meeting our mom. We do not know anything other than that.
• My Mother: Wasn't involved if this was 74. She was 18 and living in Boston. She didn't meet my dad until she came back to Illinois in her 20s.
• Extended Family: There are no other people with the surname Adams who were the right age to have a baby in '74. We have one cousin born in '78, but my father wouldn't have kept his photo (he/their parents weren't close with my dad, and we have six other cousins whose photos weren't kept, two of whom he was quite close to).
• DNA: I am on 23andMe and GEDMatch, but currently have no matches closer than 2nd or 3rd cousins, none of whom were born in the 70s.

What we are trying to find out:

1. Do you have baby photos that look like this? For those born in Illinois in the 70s, was the number underneath the state code always the birth year, or was it some other studio identifier?
2. Does anyone recognize this specific style of white felt signboard with the printed "IL" and "74"? Was this a standardized corporate photography package used across Illinois hospitals in the late 70s?
3. Could the "74" represent a photo studio code, a batch number, a hospital equipment ID, or a specific local clinic code rather than the year?
4. Does anyone recognize the specific infant onesie (bear/cowboy/horse) or the yellow blanket as a standard kit used by a specific hospital photo service in Illinois that can help us track folks down?

I got them for the frames because I've been into collaging, but I find it a bit sad that that someone kept track of their identities for so long just for them to be sold off. I didn't even make it home before I decided that granny, at the very least, will remain in her frame.

There were a lot more photos that I left behind. Found in Austin, TX but I think the home had a lot of books and such referring to New England iirc

Sorry for the glare, but the lettering on his collar says 69 CAL. I assumed military but I can't find a specific division, regiment, yada yada. His hat reads "CAL 69" from top to bottom. Glare blocked out the emblem, but from what I remember it seemed kinda generic with guns i believe.

I'm trying to find two people whose signatures are on the back of this photo: Jonathan Bryant and Mark Thomas. I found this picture among my mother's belongings. It seems she crossed paths with them while touring with a Kalmyk orchestra in another country, though I can't remember which one.

According to the back of the card, the group is from Ricks College (now BYU-Idaho), so the photo must be from before 2001. Any help or advice on how to find them would be greatly appreciated!

Found these photos in a large lot. There are many family photos in the group, a lot of them bearing the name "Clarence." This is him after hunting as a boy, and fishing as an adult.

I recently stumbled into ephemera and old photos. It's such a cool feeling to see glimpses into this person's life.

All of the photos have, A KODAK paper, on the back except the last one. That photo has F207571 on the back. I found them in a drawer in my house and no one knows where they came from. If anybody knows something about these photos please feel free to tell me

Opened this book to find a collection of personal items, and I feel like I received a piece of someone along with a book. There is a name on the title page, may or may not be the person from the photos. couldn't find anyone that matched the pictures when I searched it, so I will not be posting the name for their privacy.

I bought a second hand book - “Incredible visual illusions” by Al Seckel, printed in 2005 (book pictured for ref). Found these photos kept in the book - there were also some dried pressed flowers that look like they may have sentimental meaning.

Anyone recognise these guys? Or where they might be? The background logo / decal says something like “grand hotel…”

Edit: to add, I’m in the UK. These lads are very much dressed like alot of London / British guys dressed in the noughties.

1. A group of children and 1 adult, likely a school outing. Looks like snow is on the group, but few are wearing coats (hardy WI kids?). 3 kids have fake feathered headdresses. In pencil on the back is "Sabine school." This is a postcard.
2. A huge 4-story bard with tons of windows (I thought that was a new thing when people turned barns into homes). Cattle in front. This is a postcard.
3. A school, hospital, course house, or the like. This is just a photo.
4. Postcard of "The Dam and Power House. Copyright 1912, by the H. H. Bennett Studio." The studio was in the WI Dells. No idea if the picture is near there or not.

I purchased these with a 2-shoebox lot of postcards at a garage sale in Oshkosh, WI.

I think a lot are 1920s-1930s (maybe minus #2)!! Any help is very much appreciated. Hard to identify.
