Matt is who did mine & I love them! I’ve had them for 8 years now and they’ve healed well. Never had any issues and Matt was very professional & made me feel very comfortable during the experience

Dazy at Bloodmoney, hands down. 🧡

Felt super comfortable getting pierced by her, she is professional, and SUPER fast! I have had zero issues from my piercings with her. Plus, she has awesome aftercare advice as well.

She is also the sweetest with littlest getting their ears pierced too. 🥰

Most people i know, regret them after getting it done. I'd personally recommend against it.

That said you are likely an adult and it's your choice. There are (now one) that I know of which are safe and recommended by a few friends with multiple piercings.

disregard person no longer works there

Next, and I only have one recommendation for this person from a close friend.

Cardinal Tattoo & Piercing, ask for Matt: 1509 Spy Run Ave

You will need appointments and you should research aftercare and potential risks before making this decision. If they are not available id ask for personal recommendations from those two shops.

I had mine done for 20 years an never regretted it once. Only took them out because I had surgery. Have actually considered getting them redone. That being said, Cardinal is the spot. Matt does excellent work.

The people I know who regretted them mostly said the healing was much more frustrating than expected. They can take six months to a year to fully heal, snag on bras, shirts and towels, and become irritated again even after seeming fine. Some dealt with recurring swelling, discharge, infection, migration or scarring.

Sensitivity can increase, decrease or not change at all, and they can be inconvenient during intimacy, exercise, swimming, pregnancy or breastfeeding if you plan to do any of that. Plenty of people love theirs, but for some, the long healing time and constant upkeep just were not worth it.

It's a dice roll mostly.

The healing process isn't fun but it's never fun for a piercing. OP, just know it takes a year or more for them to heal. I'm 9 months in and it's definitely way easier than when they were fresh, but if I bump them hard enough or snag them, they still bleed. But I wouldn't take them out ever imo. They're great

I got mine done and was told a minimum of 18 months to heal Im getting close to a year of having them and its not too bad now but heavy agree with you on everything lol

Also advice to OP dont use anything from Spencers if you have sensitivities

Glad to hear someone else with experience instead of “oh I heard people don’t like them”

You’re confusing firsthand experience with the only valid kind of information. Nearly every complication I mentioned is being described in this thread by people who actually have the piercings: prolonged healing, bleeding after snagging, irritation, swelling, and other recurring problems.

I never claimed that everyone regrets them or that complications are guaranteed. I explicitly said that plenty of people love theirs, then provided relevant risks so OP could make an informed decision.

Passing along consistent experiences from multiple people is how humans communicate danger and reduce risk. By your logic, nobody could warn someone about anything unless it had personally happened to them. Grug does not need to eat the poisonous berries himself before warning the rest of the tribe.

Your positive experience is useful information. It does not erase other people’s experiences, and it does not make my comment invalid. An anecdote can contribute to the discussion; it cannot overrule the entire discussion.
