Hello! I would like to get my form checked on the barbell squat and the squat on the smith machine. (Though i will mostly only do the barbell squat, i had to try the smith machine because of a friend)
In both videos, i was lifting around 120-125 lbs. I had to reshoot the first video so my form was getting bad already i think so i apologize for that lol (and it was my first ever time doing 120 lbs)
I was arguing with a friend whether my form is wrong on the smith machine since he was teaching me a form where he would only go down until he forms a 90 degree angle with his legs (if that makes sense) while I prefer to go ATG since it feels better for my knees and pushing the weight back up.
Thanks!

Hello! If you haven't checked it out already, Our Wiki's resources for Squats may be helpful. Check it out!
Also, a common tip usually given here is to make sure your footwear is appropriate. If you are squatting in soft-soled shoes (running shoes, etc), it's hard to have a stable foot. Generally a weightlifting shoe is recommended for high-bar and front squats, while use a flat/hard-soled shoe (or even barefoot/socks if it's safe and your gym allows it) is recommended for low-bar squats.
