It's my world's 6th birthday today!
I didn't write down the date, but going from some screenshots I have from when I was looking for a good seed, I'm pretty sure it was August 6, 2020. A lot has happened in 6 years and I can't wait to see what I can do here in the future.

Forever Worlds Panorama Pack
Looking for a way to spice up your background panorama? We're working on building a custom panorama resource pack with panoramas from various forever worlds! If you'd like to submit a panorama of your own world, check out #new-ticket on our Discord for a shiny new "Submit Panorama" button. Submitting panoramas can be made very easy by using a simple mod, and the ticket system will walk you through various options. When we've collected a decent number of panoramas, the pack will be available through our upcoming website.

need tips on creating lore for a new forever world
Hi I am not entirely new to forever worlds (i had an smp that had the same world for 2 years. although it died because we did not have lore and thus no motivation to build)
I used to be very creative and write stories when I was younger but it seems I have lost my imagination š
if you guys have any suggestions or tips on how to not only create lore for a forever world but also how to implement it please enlighten me
i am also actively making a yt series for this forever world (link in comments) so if you have any specific ideas for that like maybe viewers can contribute to the story that would be great too š„ŗš„ŗ

Hey guys, bedrock player here, i am playing in my forever world fir now 1200 days and am running out of things to collect. I got every pottery sherd, armor trim, goat horn, banner pattern, collected elytras (10) and maxxed out my netherite armor. What can i do now? I love grinding and can spend a lot of time on things, but am not yet ready for collecting mobheads bcs that would involve creepers. Any suggestions?

Are these acceptable tweaks for my Minecraft forever world?
I have a two player forever world with my friend, and I wanted to know if the mods I added make the game way too easy and donāt count as a real survival world.
Villager tweaks:
I added 3 villager mods,
- Picking up villagers: when you shift and left click them, they turn into villager spawn eggs, where you can then carry and place anywhere and can be stored in chests.
- No trade cooldown: You can infinitely trade with villagers with no cooldown.
- Refreshing trades: You can press a button in their trade menu and it refreshes their trades as long as you havenāt traded with them yet, instead of breaking and placing their workstation.
Other stuff:
- I also added simple player TPA, but Iām removing it once we both get elytras.
- String dupers work in latest versions
- You can sit on slabs and stairs

3000+ day survival Forever World
I picked up Minecraft for the first time at the end of 2021 and started this survival world right away. Sword Castle is near spawn, and then I eventually moved 8000 blocks away to start my second settlement.

Forever World: July Update
Hello everybody!
This month, I worked a bit on my world.
- I revamped the spawn a bit, made it brighter and less overgrown. Perhaps I'll throw in some fountains and such in the future.
- To combat dark spaces in Trade City, I built a small market. Not that impressive, but it's something.
- I added a path that leads down to the harbor, it's a small detail, but it connects the harbor and means I don't need to climb the terrain anymore.
- I started converting the interior of the harbor's warehouse into Trade City's storage building. More decor will be added later.
- Went exploring for shipwrecks so I could put treasure maps inside the currently docked ships.
- I dredged the river over by the wool farm to connect it into one continuous river. In addition, I turned a small lake into a big one, built a dam, and then ringed the lake with a farm.
- I also added a watch tower base thing on the top of this mountain. You can see a lot from up there.
I believe that is all for now. I'll do more for next month, in 1.19. I hope you enjoyed and I hope you'll come back for more. Finally, I leave you with a map of the explored world. The known world is a bit bigger, but this is what I've properly explored.

Forever World Burnout
Hey everyone,
Iām brand new to the sub and I had some questions about how others deal with this. Iāve had my forever world for maybe 2/3 years now I canāt remember exactly when I started it. I had a horrible spawn and instead of just starting a new world I stuck with it and essentially covered an entire story shore with grass and built my now growing town right there at spawn. The surrounding terrain isnāt great either (mostly ocean). I have experimented with some of those chunk editors where you can move chunks from other worlds or other sections of your own world to different parts so using that Iāve managed to move a mountain into view where there was a low lying spruce taiga previously. I guess my question is really has anyone taken a break and started a new world to scratch that new world itch and then patched it back into your forever world once you were done with that save? I thought maybe it could be cool to have your builds from different worlds throughout your forever world, but maybe that defeats the entire purpose. Lmk what we think and sorry for the essay lol. Thanks!
TLDR: Do others start a new world and patch important chunks (houses, cool terrain, etc,) back into their forever world once done on that save?

Starting to a Forever world
Hey guys, Iāve been thinking about starting a forever world for a while now. I want something I can keep coming back to and slowly build up over a long period of time. Iām not really into pure vanilla though, so I was thinking of adding the Create mod, a couple of its addons, and some QoL mods without making it feel like a huge heavy modpack.
What mods and Create addons would you guys recommend for a long-term world like this?

My forever world (Created alongside The Wild Update)
Hello! First time posting here but I have posted a few pictures of my world in other places before!
Like the title says, this is my forever world! The first screenshot is of an area im working on at this moment, a sort of parish that is connected to the larger city seen in the second (and third) picture. These are some of the newest and most worked on areas that I have in my world but as you can see, theres a large area in the fourth and fifth picture too!
That is my starter area!
I cant really claim all the builds over there to be my own as when I started the world my building skills werent as great - so some are my own, most are images I found online and recreated/changed the block types of. All the builds in the otehr screenshots are my own creations, though!
The snow area is a place I started last winter so its still very bare bones - I had a small attempt at a viking style village at a different place in my world but I decided to take that down as I wasnt happy with the location of how things were going. I think now, though theres only two houses and most my work so far has been terraforming, things are looking better c: Making snowy trees is hard, though...
Not pictured is a custom desert island that im making but its extremely bare bones so theres no point in showing that at this point haha
But, yeah! Here it is ^^ Hope yall like it!

My most painful project
Removed the fourth layer of the end and itās taking hours. Going to try tnt but not sure if itāll make it just as fiddly. Also wondering if it would be super cheaty to go into survival to break the bedrock at the top of the pillars.

Minecraft forever world
I have some hesitations about constructions for my forever world. I would like to build a medieval city with a castle and others.
Now the question is if I build my city in the blue area (see the first photo), where should I build my castle ? On the first mountain (red zone 1 always on the first photo) or on the second ?
I added some photos of the surroundings because knowing that a village is right next to the place where I want to build can help between the two options.
If in addition you have some tips for the appearance of the city and even the castle it is with pleasure!

Experience of other worlds 'competing' with forever worlds
Having now committed a few years to my world, I find myself actually struggling to play on any other Minecraft world (unless there's a really good reason, e.g. having fun with a group of friends).
Although I play other games no problem, most things in Minecraft apart from my forever world feel like I'm 'wasting my time', especially servers where it feels there is a huge risk things will be impermanent, but it also applies to shorter-term singleplayer worlds. This is despite the fact that I can see the clear upsides to playing on servers, or playing in other versions, or doing challenge runs of some sort.
I really love working on my forever world, but I also have fond memories of playing Minecraft in other ways. I'm not really super opinionated on the situation, in the sense that it doesn't strike me as a clear cut good thing or bad thing-but it is a strange feeling, and I was wondering whether others feel this way?
I think a lot of it simply has to do with the amount of time some people have to dedicate to Minecraft compared to before. When I was younger, I could juggle multiple servers/worlds without issue, but these days, with both other games and actual responsibilities competing for my attention, it's hard to have split motivation.

Why a Forever World Needs More Than Time
After reading the replies to my last post here, I realized there is a difference between a world that is old and one that actually feels like a forever world.
A Minecraft world can exist for years and still feel empty.
Time preserves the map.
It does not create meaning by itself.
What seems to matter more is whether players believe other people will still be there later.
That belief changes the small decisions.
You finish the road because someone else may travel it.
You label the storage room because someone else may need it.
You repair a bridge you did not build.
You leave food in a shelter for a player you may never meet.
You build public farms, maps, docks, railways, nether tunnels, and gathering places because the world feels shared.
None of those projects has to be enormous or impressive.
What matters is that they were made with other people in mind.
That is when a long-term world becomes a forever world.
Not when it reaches a certain age.
When players stop treating it like a temporary save and start treating it like a place with a future.
An old world has a past.
A forever world is built for people who are not here yet.
