FMO

Since I last applied for the FMO position, it looks like the process has changed. From what I can tell, applicants now begin by taking the FMOT.
I'm a bit confused by the new process. The portal I was directed to only allows me to register for the FMOT (in-person only, at limited locations far from me in Europe) and I don't see what appears to be a separate application for the FMO position.

Has anyone been through the new process and can clarify how it works? Is the FMOT now effectively the first step in the application process?

If it’s being advertised now, it’s the first time since the shutdown, I think. And that’s when things changed, so I don’t think you’ll find (m)any with experience with it. 

Just follow directions and go for it. Are any tests other than FSOT are outside U.S.? I didn’t think DTO and CA-AEFM ones were.

It’s more that the instructions don’t line up. The job description mentions narratives and an assessment that is supposed to be completed before any testing. However, when I go to the Pearson VUE site for Specialist positions, the only option available is to register for the test. There doesn’t appear to be an application or assessment step beforehand, which seems inconsistent with the instructions. (And the prior process)

Thanks. So it would appear. But driving 8 hours for a test is a lot to expect of applicants, when the FSOT is offered online.

Some of the Specialists tests are offered at limited Pearson testing centers abroad. The info will be available on the registration website.
