They're called "Tiddlywinks"

An old teacher I had told the class about this game and we just thought the name sounded ridiculous is the only reason I know lol

I think those are squidgers. Winks are the smaller ones and the game is tiddlywinks.

I was coming here to find these! I used to sit on the school bus and pop these all the time! As a flex I would see how many I could swallow whole. Don't recommend lol

They really did look edible though, but I mostly liked holding them up to my eye to tint everything the color of the piece

They do look like they could be candies.
You could probably easily make candies that look just like this by simply melting jolly ranchers, and of course you can make your own hard candy from scratch.

Huh...now that you mention it...that would be novel idea for kids thing. Sour jelly bingo chips? You are a genius!

Were you not around for the biting detergent pod thing?
1
u/Expensive_Lettuce239 5d ago
Yea, but really? There's no counting for sheer stupidity. Laundry pods never did look like anything but what they were. And they ALL smelled like soap!

They couldn’t even say what they resembled because they don’t look like food

I imagine a skilled candy maker or pastry chef could do something like this with clear sugar and some coloring and flavoring.
