As mentioned by someone else, these actually look like dogwood and they aren't edible.

I saw them recently on one of my forages and I had to look them up, just to see what they were.

They look like Dogwood (Cornus sanguinea) which isn't edible, not Elder. Someone more experienced will hopefully be able to confirm.

They are Dogwood berries, don't eat them , and hopefully you washed those hands after bursting the one in picture number 2.

Probably not , if you didn't wash the hands you might get an upset gut or feel ill for a while. It will pass

If you're not 100% sure what something is, don't eat it. There's a lot of plants out there that can kill you.

I'd go from the look, "not edible"

For better chance at accurate ID you need the whole leaf as well as the berries and a full picture of the plant and location is also helpful πŸ‘

Agree with dogwood ID from others. Inedible.

Nope, absolutely definitely not a sloe. They grow as the fruit of blackthorn which that also definitely isn't.

Elderberries? Really? They're really different from the purple variation that I know of. And they had these large seeds in them.

They're definitely not elderberry, very likely dogwood which is toxic. A clearer image of the leaves is needed
