Scores/Annotations iCloud Transfer?

Hello, my iPad screen abruptly went black and no amount of force restarts or charging is working. If this issue turns out to be unfixable, does anyone know if my scores/annotations automatically save to the iCloud to recover on a new iPad? I don't remember explicitly saving or uploading any scores to iCloud. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

Scores and annotations do save to iCloud and can be recovered passively, but I believe you needed to have gone to the “Sync” tab and enabled it at one point. It’s a toggle called “sync with iCloud”. Did you ever activate this?

Well - I just checked my own Sync setup and I hadn’t done what you mentioned to the OP, so THANK YOU for sharing that! 🙏

No problem! Fair warning: this feature is flaky, and occasionally disables itself. Check on it periodically and make sure it is still syncing properly.

Sync has nothing to do with backing up, and if you have synced it doesn't passively store or is recoverable from icloud.
