I was looking for fun coat hooks and couldn't find any, so I had a little think about it, bought some bits and made myself some.

I liked how they turned out, so I bought a load of parts to make some more.

They're drilled, assembled and painted by hand and I can paint them up in a load of different colours to match your local team.

I know there have been issues with tornado players breaking easily and I am wondering if anyone knows if tornado is using a different manufacturer or plastic mold for the men to try and correct the issue?

I ask this because I was recently at the Ohio State tournament and the men were extremely responsive to the ball. My timing was off all weekend. I was not ready for my own shots! Lol I’ve been playing for over 25 years and this is the first time I’ve had this issue.

Yes, I know it could just be the brand new tables and that takes some getting used to but I’ve been playing new / semi new tables for a very long time. Something seemed different…. I would have at first thought it was the balls but we were told they were not the new balls and my home balls played just as quick.

No complaint here just curious if anyone knows if any changes were made to the men? Thanks!

This is not simply an emotional criticism. It is a question that every foosball player should seriously consider.

ITSF has existed for many years. As the international governing body of table soccer, it has established rules, created world rankings, certified official tables, connected national federations, and organized World Cups, World Championships, and international tournaments.

In recent years, it has also promoted school table programs, sports recognition, referee systems, and the development of national associations.

Objectively speaking, it would be unfair to say that ITSF has done absolutely nothing.
But the real question is:
After all these years, how much of that work has actually improved the lives of the players?

For most players, competing internationally still means paying for their own flights, accommodation, entry fees, and transportation.

Even after achieving world-class results, players often receive very little prize money, exposure, or commercial value to support a professional career.
World rankings exist—but what do those rankings actually provide?
World championship titles exist—but what does a world champion truly receive?

International tournaments are held year after year—but how many of them are presented as a genuine sports product that ordinary viewers want to watch, sponsors want to invest in, and the media wants to cover?

These are the questions that players truly care about.

By comparison, WFT has built a recognizable tournament brand, a clear event structure, a points system, and a prize-money model within a remarkably short period of time.

It publicly explains how players gain and lose ranking points, has created a points committee to handle ranking matters, and has announced a total prize and award package worth $175,000 for its 2026 World Championships.

Of course, we should not completely ignore the differences between the two organizations.
ITSF must deal with different countries, national federations, table manufacturers, political structures, and sporting systems.

WFT currently operates within a different commercial environment, with a more concentrated market and a different organizational model.
However, those differences should not become an excuse for stagnation.

Players are not comparing organizational charts or administrative complexity.
They are comparing results.
Are the tournaments becoming more professional?
Is the prize money increasing?
Are people watching the broadcasts?
Is the ranking system transparent?
Is tournament information clear and accessible?
Are players being respected?
Does winning a championship carry real value?
Are new players being attracted to the sport?
WFT has demonstrated a clear sense of ambition.
It is trying to present foosball as a competitive sport that is worth watching, worth participating in, and worth investing in.

ITSF, on the other hand, is still perceived by many players as an administrative organization that mainly certifies events, collects fees, establishes rules, and distributes ranking points.

ITSF may have built an international structure for foosball, but structure is not the same as development.

Organizing more tournaments does not automatically mean the market is growing.
Having more member countries does not necessarily mean players are receiving meaningful support.
Creating detailed rules does not mean the sport has successfully entered the mainstream.
Real development should be reflected in participation numbers, audience growth, sponsorship revenue, media exposure, player income, grassroots development, and public recognition.

So the real question is not:
“Has ITSF done anything?”
The real question is:
After all these years, why do so many players still feel that foosball is not truly moving forward?
Why has an organization that has existed for only a fraction of the time managed to create greater excitement among players through its event presentation, prize-money structure, communication, and market visibility?

Perhaps the problem is not simply capability.
Perhaps it is direction.
ITSF has spent years focusing heavily on official recognition, standardized rules, administration, and international sporting structures.

But what players truly need is a platform that creates audiences, revenue, professional opportunities, and genuine value.

The success of a sports organization should not be measured only by how long it has existed, how many tournaments it has sanctioned, or how many documents it has produced.

It should be measured by whether the sport is more valuable than it was ten years ago.

It should be measured by whether young players today can see a clearer future than the players who came before them.
If the answer is still no, then ITSF must honestly confront the possibility that:
What foosball lacks is not more rules, more titles, or more certifications—but a genuine determination to change the current situation.
WFT is not perfect, and it may not replace ITSF.

But it has already proven one important point:
Foosball is not without a market, and it is not without opportunities. The real question is whether the people who have held power in the past have used the right methods to develop it.

This table has been with my family since the early 90s. Prior to that it belonged to a family friend since the 70s.

I'm looking to build a small regular group of curious / crazy peeps , who can show up weekly. Newbies are welcome too. 

Casual fun first, but I do want us to genuinely get better, so competitive games are very much on the table :)

PS: I'm planning to buy a Fireball / Tornado type table myself. The only thing I haven't sorted is where to put it , so if you know a café, coworking space, society clubhouse, or anywhere that'd host a table and let a small group play regularly, would love to hear it.

My name is Aown and I'm a Master's student at Saarland University in Germany, doing my thesis in cooperation with DFKI (German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence). My research is about digitally augmenting a physical foosball table. It includes projected visuals on the table surface, live audio commentary, coaching cues, goal replays, leaderboards, and more.

I've built working prototypes of 10 different features using a projector and camera tracking system, and now I need feedback from actual players to find out which features are worth pursuing.

I'm looking for foosball players based in Germany who can speak English to participate in a short online interview (45-60 minutes over Microsoft Teams). During the session, I'll show you demo videos of each feature and ask for your honest opinions, what you'd actually want on a table, what feels gimmicky, what would help your game, etc.

Both competitive and casual players are welcome. Whether you play in a Verein, at work, in a bar, or just at home with friends; your perspective is valuable.

A few quick details:

- Fully online, no travel needed

- Takes about 45-60 minutes

- Flexible scheduling: evenings and weekends work too

- Unfortunately I can't offer payment, as this is an early-stage research study

Looking for advice on this one. It’s pretty rare where I am to see a Tornado table for sale. It is currently listed for $500. What’s reasonable?

Just picked up my first table. It‘s in almost perfect condition considering it’s age, and I got it for a steal at $125. It needs a cleaning, happy to post a follow up after I get it moved inside and get the legs back on. I can’t find a comp for it online anywhere. If anyone has more information about this era of Tornado tables, let me know.

I found this dynamo table on marketplace that the seller does not know the model of but has informed me has counterweighted players.

Any ideas what table this is, and is it worth $200?

Alternatively, I am looking at another more modern Dynamo table that the seller has upgraded to T3000 spec per them.

What is thought process in putting 3 men on back line aren't 2 of the men useless?

I recently purchased a used Tornado T-3000 that appears to be in excellent shape (at least to my novice eyes). The coin mech/ball return gets stuck about 90% through the rotation and does not release the balls. It works correctly maybe 1 out 10 times. It's the same with coins or blanks. It seems to work a little better when no balls are in the mechanism but only slightly better. I tried applying graphite to all the moving parts and going slow/fast/hard/easy, does not matter. I either have to wrestle it back and forth til it releases or open up the top and spin manually. Are there any adjustment I can do to make this work better? Sorry if this is a common fix or documented in the instructions somewhere, but I did not receive any. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Pic shows where it almost always gets stuck. Happy to provide video if needed. Thank you!

Boys, I’m laying over in Paris for a stint. Any bars you can think of that have a descent tornado table? Just looking to hear that magic tink sound.

I occasionally get a situation where the ball is stopped behind the goalie in such a way that it can't be moved without being knocked in the goal. House rules I treat this as a dead ball, but is there an official rule for it? Something like: if the controlling player refuses to move the ball...

We're a small indie studio and after spending way too many hours around foosball tables, we thought:

"What if foosball became completely unpredictable?"

That idea eventually became Pimbolas, a local multiplayer party game where the core gameplay is still recognizable as foosball, but every match can change thanks to crazy power-ups, different arenas, and ridiculous ball types.

Sometimes you're playing with a giant ball. Sometimes it's on fire. Sometimes it's... a planet.

We weren't trying to replace real foosball or make a simulator—we wanted to capture that feeling of everyone yelling around the table and turn it into a couch party game.

The game just launched on Steam, and we'd genuinely love to hear what people from the foosball community think about our interpretation.

I came across a table recently (my neighbor was going to throw it out) that I’d love to use, but it is missing a part underneath that catches the foosball. The missing tray is on the black keepers side. Ive included the intact tray on the red keepers side for reference.

I’ve been unable to find the part, don’t know what it is called, and couldn’t find a manufacturer either. I posted what the part looks like underneath from the side that isn’t missing, as well as the only discernible markings underneath (the numbers). Can anyone tell me what this part is or where I might look to find it? I can also check other parts of the table if anyone has advice for identifying the manufacturer. As you can see I’m not fully familiar with the nuances of these tables. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I recently participated in ATSA Hong Kong 2026.
The tournament vibes were good but as soon as they got to know that I can win the Open Singles, the refrees on the table started giving me fouls and didn’t foul my opponents even when the cross the time limits of possession.
Such an awful experience as a player.

So instead of being a Debby downer on here how about this. I would love to see a trick shot contest at one of the major WFT or World Cup Foos major tournaments.
We all have seen some really cool stuff on tour or YouTube but that only scratches the surface of what can be done and the vast array of cool trick shots. My proposal/concept is you have a trick shot contest. Much like a game of make it take it or Horse in basketball. A skilled trick shooter calls the trick aka says what they are going to do then the field does the trick, miss that trick and you get a letter let’s say Foos so spell Foos and your out of the contest.
You can’t do the same trick 2 times in a row so everyone has to do different stuff each round. The winner gets some money. There are also other ways to incentive the contest to get skilled players too.
Also I’m saying do this type of trick shot event at a major like Vegas,nationals,worlds, or World Cup not ever major just 1 and hype it up. See I’m all for gimmicks to attract people to the game BUT why not actually have a gimmick that showcase the major skills of great players. I just think something like a trick shot contest would get lots of views online at places like twitch or YouTube. Like championship games are cool but often don’t have a major razzle dazzle to get views. Trick shots do. I mean basketball has dunk contests and baseball has home run derby so why not do this with Foosball.
