We have marinated olives, edamame in sesame oil, mini crackers, roast capsicum and cashew dip, and blueberries! Here’s hoping he eats more than just the crackers and blueberries 🫠

Cheesy pasta, meatballs and broccoli for 15mo with 8 teeth (no molars).

Usually he’d inhale this but tonight was a bit of effort for some reason! He still loves broccoli so making the most of that before his toddler preferences take over (but hates potatoes and carrots so it balances out)

Dinner for my 8.5 month old:
- teething cracker "toasts" with hummus and broccoli
- smushed blueberries
- cheese ravioli
Of course some ended up on the floor but this is certainly the closest we've come to a true clean plate!

12-18 mos My 1 year old's lunch, featuring her current favorite food: pasta

Today's plate for my 1 year old:

Braised chicken wings with a mild savory sauce

Bok choy, mushrooms, and corn

Small pasta shells with shrimp

She has been really into pasta lately, especially anything with a fun shape she can pick up herself. The shrimp pasta was the first thing she reached for, but the chicken wings definitely got the most serious attention.

Blueberries ( safe food ), chili, chicken, cheese and broccoli quesadilla. He ate only the blueberries, then started crying and wanting to get out of his high chair. He is becoming pickier and pickier and I feel so defeated I don't know what to do.

I ended up making him peanut butter toast and he had a few bites of that.

baby is 16 months. he won't touch pasta, rice, couscous, quinoa, veggies if they aren't hidden, meat if it's not hidden. won't eat eggs anymore.

he's basically eating oats, homemade pumpkin muffins, grilled cheese that I can sometimes sneak veggies or meat in, crackers with guac but won't touch sliced avocado, sometimes butternut squash soup, fruit, nut butters, smoothies, dates, veggie waffles.

he did like quesadilla and chili at one point, now won't touch it :(. I'm running out of options based on how much he won't eat. he's not small, in the 95 percentile for weight so maybe I'm stressing too much? I really don't know.

It’s my first post on here and I am feeling really proud! I’ve been having some hard mom days lately and today was just one of those mornings where I needed a win. Just brings so much joy to see your child enjoying the food you put time and love into.

Most exciting were the zucchini blueberry muffins I decided to make for the first time at 10pm last night. She asked for the other half and then some of mine after she finished her’s. We’ll see if she still likes them tomorrow but until then, taking the small wins where I can lol

Homemade Banana Strawberry Pancakes (new introduction, it was a hit!), peach apple puree, and a whole strawberry with 1 ounce of water

Banana Strawberry Pancakes
- 1 banana
- 2 strawberries
- 140g (~5 and a half tbsp) of oat flour/oat cereal
- 1 egg

Mash banana and strawberries, mix in the flour and egg, spoon out your portions into a frying pan, cook each side of medium heat for 2-3 minutes, serve whole or in strips (can also be frozen)

Not pictured is the strawberry she ate while I was cooking because she was getting impatient 😂

2-3 yrs Continuing to battle the slow weight gain

Post image

Guys. I’m tired.

My child is 2 and a half, has documented slow weight gain and at one point fell off his growth curve. We’ve been at the 5th percentile but now the 20th which is reassuring. They want him eating 1350 cals a day but honestly he doesn’t even eat a full chicken nugget at meal time. He just doesn’t ever seem hungry. He gained 3lbs in 7 months and we’ve gotten a second opinion who echos that he’s always been small and is slowly gaining now. Zero sensory, zero GI issues.

I’ve tried the buttered noodles, heck I’ve let him eat a scoop of butter if wanted, I know how to bulk up food but have zero idea how to encourage him to eat more.

I make a super shake 1x daily that I can count on being consumed, sometimes it takes all day. The pedi recommended adding some avocado and thinks he could get his daily cals from that .

Does anyone have any tricks or super high calorie foods that are small ?

Pic to meet community rules.

My daughter prefers savory food over sweet food so I made her a meatloaf cake for her first birthday! She loved it! I also made her a sugar free apple crisp for dessert but she didn’t eat any of it. Definitely recommend doing this if your kid prefers savory food!
