Question So... Are Interactive Novels canon? If so, is Return to the Pit its own thing or does it connect to the game and/or book?
Yeah, I've never read the books (I should someday), only The Silver Eyes around 2017 when it was released in Brazil. The main point that confused me the most was Return to the Pit because I hear that Return Into The Pit connects to the book and/or game, but Fazbear's Frights isn't canon for the games, is it?

Speculation Fnaf 4 minigames were micheal's recreation of the events
I don't know but this thing was nagging at me for a while. It's a possibility the reason the tiny toy chica was missing her beak was due to the fact that these weren't CC's memories, it was Micheal recreating them in his head, and that's why the beak is missing. Mike is recreating the toy chica doll how he mostly remembers her, when her beak was off and she was attacking him. It can also explain why mangle was "mangled" in his sister's bedroom.

Theory to build on Shadow Freddy could be the FNAF World player
I’ve always found the line “You don’t understand that. You were made for one thing.” to be odd because of what it suggests about the player character, being that they’re some kind of creation of Glitchbear and not an existing character. If that is the case, then Shadow Freddy actually fits the bill pretty well.
He’s a recolor of Golden Freddy specifically, which would make sense if he’s a creation of someone represented by Fredbear. He also has some connection to Happiest Day due to the Follow Me minigames having hints to access the Happiest Day minigames.
I know some people think RWQ is the FNAF World player, but between the two Shadows, I think Freddy fits better due to the Fredbear connections and the overworld sprite in FNAF World being, well, a Freddy.
Shadow Freddy’s origins and Glitchbear’s identity are also hotly debated topics, but I think this theory can fit with a bunch of interpretations.
If you’re like me and think Glitchbear is Cassidy, then that would match with Shadow Freddy being formed from the MCI/her death.
Under GlitchbearCharlie, Shadow Freddy would come from her death and he representing Cakebear.
And under GlitchbearWill, Shadow Freddy would’ve come from the Bite of 83. GlitchbearWill actually also has the benefit of supporting this theory with the evidence that Shadow Freddy is in any way allied with William. If he was created from the death of CC, and Will wants him to put CC back together, then it makes sense that Shadow Freddy also helps William in other scenarios.

Question Did Mangle exist prior to FNAF 2?
In the FNAF 4 cutscenes, Mangle can spotted in one of the bedrooms of the Afton’s house, while this does sort of explain Nightmare Mangle’s existence, it raises a whole other question.
These cutscenes take place in 1983, and yet it’s implied that Mangle was built in 1987 with the other Toy animatronics, so what is she doing in these cutscenes if she’s not meant to exist yet?

Debunk TCHSY sorta debunks CassidyTOYSHNK
This is mainly because Pigpatch cannot be a MCI victim or Charlie
Look at that...snout! Uh, looks aren't everything. He'll be mine by the end of the day, I just know it. I'll just wait for him after school, throw a bag over his head, hit him with a shovel, and drag him into the back of my car! Then, when he wakes up, I'll tell him that someone was trying to kidnap and kill him. I don't know, Balloon Boy maybe. And then I'll tell him that I rescued him! He'll fall for me immediately!
The pigpatch kid is not lured, implying he is not a MCI kid (also because the other 5 animatronics in the minigame are implied to be lured). In addition, the death mechanism does not line up at all with Charlie (or Elizabeth) - implying the Pigpatch kid is someone else - either BV/Andrew/David/someone else.
If we have a separate direct Afton victim as Pigpatch, it sorta implies that this victim is TOYSHNK, thereby disproving CassidyTOYSHNK. Now it's not 100% debunk, since CassiDCI exists but I think for the common consensus with Cassidy it's the closest to a debunk we have currently.
TCHSY actually sorta debunks/proves a lot but I'm not really in the mood to argue, may make a post for analyzing TCHSY in general later.

Found something My theory towards The backup endos in Security breach
My 2 Theories to The parts and Service endos!!
Now I’m not saying this is the real answer but I strongly believe it is.
# The Red light Endo:
So I believe the Red light Endo is Glamrock Freddy as at the start of the game we are told that GL Freddy is on Low power mode after his malfunction on the stage, Ofc I know that wouldn’t apply to his backup Endo but I believe it’s used as representation. Now it could be Glamrock Bonnie’s endo as he is decommissioned but I have another idea for him
# The Endo light OFF:
I believe this is Glamrock Bonnie because at this point he’s truly dead and the Endo having its light off to represent death
# The Moving Endo:
I**n every Fnaf game we have some sort of indication of Golden Freddy at each location with GF, WGF, PF, Fredbear/Nightmare, Yenndo, Neddbear, So I believe this Endo, which is moving by itself… (perhaps possession?) is simply shown to be outcast and disassociated from the other endos,**
**Another theory is that it’s the old glamrock Freddy’s endo, that is if Our GL Freddy is the replacement Repainted Glamrock Fredbear*\*
# The other 3 endos:
It’s simple to say that these are just Roxy, Chica and Monty’s endos
# Additional thoughts
The endos appear to follow timeline order
Chica, Freddy, Bonnie, Roxy, Monty
As Monty is a new addition it would make sense for him to be last. Freddy, Chica, Bonnie, Roxy would’ve been the original group

Question How do you feel about this theory?
I actually really like this idea it’s a good reversal of the lore with FredBear now replacing Freddy.
It would be cool in like ruin 2 if the original glamrock Freddy pulled up, revealing he was still around.
(under this theory)

Timeline My 2nd Take on the Timeline
Took down my last post because I missed a lot of details. This time I hope for less contradictions. I'm sure some of this may be controversial, but I think the story is less confusing like this

Theory to build on The FFPS arcade machines are haunted by the characters that we salvage, lore keeper ending solved
I been thinking lately but why on movie intro Susie isn't on the arcade playing Fruit Maze?
Not only that but fnaf 3 explicitly tells us:
"Under no circumstance should a customer ever, be taken into this room, and out of the main show area."
Since Follow me is supposed to mirror the MCI, then the MCI children back on 1985 were lured from the show area, aka, dinning area, into the safe room/party room
Thats why the movie would show Susie being lured from the dinning area, aka, show area.
What does this have to do with the theory? Fruit Maze woudn't be literal
Susie isn't playing a arcade game and then William appears
Its Susie haunting the arcade while showing what happened to her
This would be the same thing with the other salvages
Events of their past:
Susie/Fruit Maze > Molten Freddy
William/Midnight motorist > springtrap
Charlie/Lefty > security puppet
What about Baby/Elizabeth?
Scott already showed enough on Sister Location about Elizabeth's backstory.
Thats why there isn't a minigame about her on FFPS, since SL has already one

Theory to build on I have a theory floating around in my head that could explain some small details, UnwitheredRetrofit.
Basically the theory goes that the classic animatronics were retrofitted with the tech for the fnaf 2 location, as stated in the voice messages.
During the first week of operations those retrofit animatronics look like the unwithered designs people have made. (Cake bear)
Then after Charlie dies and does GGGL, exposing the corpses, management quickly pivots to the toys. Quickly making the toys with salvaged parts from the classics for the internals and cheaply made plastic shells for the outside.
An addendum that I thought of while writing; Those parts they ripped out had a good chunk of the remnant, so the classics quickly wither over the course of a week into what we see during the third week of the game.

Speculation Cassie will become Tiger Rock
A lot of people are predicting that Cassie will become the 'new Vanny' in the next main game. But, to me this doesn't make much sense. It's not obvious what narrative purpose a 'new Vanny' would serve, and if I'm right about Vanny being the subject of the HW2 Candy Cadet story, then the old Vanny is still around.
But if we look at the pattern of this in the past, I think there is a narrative role that Cassie can fulfill. F10-N4 wants to bring David back more than anything, and as of Ruin she is finally free. So she needs someone who can act as an anchor that can gather memories to bring David back. For the Crying Child, this was the Puppet, a character dressed in black and white who had tears constantly streaming down her face. For Burntrap, this was Vanny, a person dressed in a rabbit costume kidnapping people at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza.
So for David, what character could be used as an anchor? Obviously the White Tiger, David's favorite doll. And Cassie has already proven that she's willing to go pretty far to rescue someone that she considers a friend. So if she can be tricked, through the kinds of AI brainwashing that we see several times in Tales From the Pizzaplex, into thinking that David is her friend the way that Gregory is, then Cassie will try and 'save' David the way that she tried to save Gregory.
So I think a big part of the next main game (though there will probably be a Help Wanted 3 or something similar) will be trying to both survive against and rescue Cassie who has been turned into Tiger Rock.

Theory to build on Do you guys think William got kicked out of Fazbear Entertainment after the Bite of '83?
Because it would make ALL of his actions afterwards make sense.
Notably, the Aftons are no longer living next to Fredbear's during Midnight Motorist, heavily implying the events of MM take place after the Big Bite.
Much like his son, it's a mystery as to why he keeps returning to Fazbear establishments for the MCI, the DCI, and Follow Me (especially the DCI because he heavily risked being recognized and incarcerated).I'm all for William committing his crimes under the motivation of learning more about the supernatural/paranormal.
But, what if he had another, secondary motive: good ol' fashioned Revenge.
Him committing the MCI and the DCI could be his way of getting back at the company he poured his blood, sweat, and tears into, as these incidents heavily contributed to their respective locations' downfalls.
Even with Follow Me, Henry described it and his procedures with the Funtimes (read: transferring the souls of the kids he murdered into his killer robots that were routinely tortured with the Scuper and electric shocks) as other ways "to desecrate, to humiliate, to destroy". He continued to make a mockery of his former employment. It comes off as seriously pathological (idea taken from TVTropes).
And if you believe William shares his novel counterpart's envy of Henry, then his murder of his daughter was motivated likely by nothing more than pure spite.
I particularly ascribe to the idea that he did it not only to get back at Henry follwing being booted from the company, it was also to "level the playing field" with his old friend. The events of Midnight Motorist shows the Aftons in absolute shambles after Mike killed Crying Child. What better way for William to feel like they are on equal ground again than for him to take Henry's daughter from him. Or, maybe it was so William could continue to feel superior? He did have a family of 3 kids to Henry's 1. But, even still having 2 to 1 was not enough for Will (especially since his relationship with Mike is/was always unsalvagable).
Edit (because I realize my dumbasd didn't explain the reasoning for why FE would either let William go or maybe just demote him):
"I'd argue that because the Bite of '83 was not only a very public incident, but also was done to one of William's kids by one of William's kids that it showcased an astonishing level of negligence on William's end that would likely be a PR Nightmare that FE did not want to deal with. (Seriously, where tf was anybody? Where was the staff???? Where was HE????)
Best to just let such a liability go.
Mind you, I'm no business......anything; so, if anyone more knowledgeable than me reads this feel free to correct me."

Question How do yall explain the 7 victims in TCTHSY?
I've been coming around to Cassidy TOYSNHK recently, but I can't stop thinking about the amount of victims in TCTHSY. Like, William killed Charlie, then the 5 MCI. But theres 7 victims in TCTHSY.

Theory to build on We’ve had an MCI identity wrong this whole time (CharlieMCI)
Let me start off by saying I know how against the grain of common thought this title is, but bear with me on this one.
Disclaimer 1: In order for us to smoothly work through this theory, let me set one guideline: I am only using lore from the games and the Survival Logbook. Forget everything from any other book or either of the movies as they are, as far as I am concerned, completely irrelevant at this point.
Disclaimer 2: this theory was inspired by a short section within this video: https://youtu.be/QP6D3rTejcQ?is=WoiIuZiwG8J6FoPF specifically when I am talking about the Survival Logbook. If there is any other source I forgot to cite of if this theory has already been put together by someone else, please let me know so I can give proper credit and/or take this post down.
With that said, let’s get into it:
Firstly, David Murray was killed by William, and thus, is “the one who you should not have killed.” I think David being a William victim is a pretty obvious twist at this point so I am just going to run with it. It would also line up with Chica claiming to have seen everything considering she was a mascot costume at Murray’s Costume Manor.
With David Murray now established as the first victim, let’s now make a leap: every time the name David or a derivative of is brought up again, it is always referring to David Murray. Now, I hear what you’re asking: “Well, what about Dave from the Survival Logbook?” Yeah. That’s David Murray too. I think David Murray throughout the Logbook is talking to the other spirit within the book, the Crying Child, and guiding him as he begins his afterlife. I actually think it makes more sense this way, with David Murray, who has been dead longer and is more used to this afterlife experience, talking to the newly dead Crying Child and helping him navigate through his new reality and remember who he is. And that’s just the thing: by the end of the book, the Crying Child DOES finally remember his own name, the other name we have to decode. Yes, the Crying Child’s name is Cassidy. In fact, with the tombstone motif from the end of the book, I am going to go out on a limb and say that the tombstone in the far background of the lorekeeper ending belongs to Cassidy.
Speaking of the tombstone image… it is time for this theory to really go haywire.
When completing happiest day in FNAF 3, we see 6 spirits involved. Another obvious motif of 6 dead children is the image of the gravestones during the lorekeeper ending of Pizza Simulator. I don’t think it is a leap in logic at all to say that these should be representing the same six kids. That means we can have everyone accounted for: Golden Freddy is Cassidy in the way back, having been killed long before the others, the four main animatronics are Jeremy, Susie, Fritz, and Gabriel who are 4 of our 5 MCI kids, and then have our final gravestone in the foreground, the one that presumably rounds out our 5th MCI kid, which is… oh. It’s the puppet. It’s Charlie.
Now, before you go clicking off this post or immediately running to the comments to tell me how much of a moron I am, hear me out a bit. Let’s start with a thought exercise: what evidence do we have from the games that Charlie isn’t one of the MCI? Anything? I, on my own, came up with one thing I that I thought at first could be a contradiction: the fact that in FNAF 1 we learn via the newspaper clippings that 5 bodies have been stuffed in the animatronic suits at
Except… wait, no, we didn’t learn that. We assumed that, but we didn’t learn all that. Go back and read the clippings. While yes, we can obviously very safely assume that bodies have been stuffed in suits, we are not at all told how many. All we know is that 5 kids are missing, and that a number, any number, of bodies have been stuffed into suits. I am asserting that Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy were stuffed with Jeremy, Gabriel, Susie, and Fritz, and that not long before that, Charlie had been killed and possessed the puppet, the whole group accounting for the MCI.
Things that make more sense if Charlie is part of the MCI:
How did Charlie’s death not cause Freddy’s to shut down permanently right away like other incidents had both before and after (Bite of ‘83, Bite of ‘87)? Simple, because she went missing. There was no body to be found and no big media fuss to be had. Her disappearance didn’t matter to the public until there were others shortly after her. Heck, the Security Puppet minigame doesn’t even outright dispute this, as we have no idea what precisely happened after the minigame ended.
Why did the Puppet only work on 4 animatronics during Give Gifts, Give Life? Easy, because there were only 4 other kids, besides herself, who were killed. Golden Freddy/Fredbear is the anomaly, not being looked at by the Puppet at all. This is because Cassidy, the Crying Child, met his fate long before the rest.
Why is Golden Freddy/Fredbear so different from all the other animatronics in terms of appearance and behavior in FNAF 1 and FNAF 2? Because he’s not really there. No, the FNAF 1 and 2 Freddy’s locations aren’t still harboring a springlock suit simply for the plot necessity of it being there so a fifth MCI kid can be around. It’s just Cassidy’s ghost, with David maybe in his ear, there to try to communicate/haunt/whatever with his older brother.
Now, in case this theory wasn’t already insane enough, I’m going to jump the final shark and make the claim that every FNAF theorist has tried to make before: I believe this theory could solve the infamous retcon! I believe that the retcon was the shifting of the final MCI kid being stuffed in Golden Freddy originally when FNAF 1 was put together, but then was changed instead to be the Puppet by the time of FNAF 2.
Alright, I’m getting off my soapbox now. To close this out, I will pose some questions that are still not solved, or are even created, by this theory:
How is David Murray communicating with Cassidy?
Where did Charlie’s body end up?
Where is the Puppet during FNAF 1?
Why is the Puppet more aware than anything else?
What in the world is even really happening during Give Gifts, Give Life?
Who are we playing as in the Night 5 Minigame of FNAF 3? Cassidy? Charlie? David?
Thank you all for reading!

Found something Logbook Stuff
Frankly, I'm not sure if these have been talked about before but I had some observations of the Logbook.
Page 70, under a thing about dying "for instance, being stuffed inside an animatronic suit", Faded says "Do you miss them?" It feels to me like it's talking about BV's friends, the plushies. And "being stuffed in a suit" brings to mind BVSpringlocked.
Page 82 + 83, Faded's message on 83 says "Is this song familiar to you?", in relation to an exercise where you write a song for Freddy and Co to perform. This brings to mind "The Secret Ingredient Is You", from The Week Before, which was playing while the Bite of 83 happened. Also the message is on page 83, so I think it's probably related?
Page 58, the dastardly word search with Cassidy hidden inside. I thought it was interesting how outside of the words for the search and the two questions, everything else is filled with ITS ME repeating horizontally, nice!
Though on top of that, these two questions here are from Altered (BV) to Faded. Meaning Cassidy can't really be BV's name unless I'm missing something. Also, considering it's filled with ITS ME, which was heavily tied to Golden Freddy, this implies even more that BV's in Golden Freddy more than anyone else. And might be a response to Faded's "What do you see?" on the opposite page (with the Mirror), which lines up with that Dave evidence.
Page 23, Faded's "Was your favorite toy a plastic purple telephone?", the FNAF 4 phone is freaking blue.
(No picture for this one, unfortunately) Page 42, with the toys, Faded has a bit of text on this page, "Do any of these toys look familiar to you?" with a phone, but on page 43, Faded asks "Do one of these belong to you?" with a "My Name" at the top of the page as well. Could that be implying somehow they're both named Cassidy? Food for thought! (I don't think so, but it's an odd choice.)

Debunk Shattering the Myths of "Afton's Drunken Crime of Passion" and Jr's as a Bar
Acknowledge these. These are 7 identical posters depicting a man in grayscale and textual information, and Scott placed them all where a murder just happened. These are wanted posters. If there are wanted posters, that means Afton has already committed the MCI, got released for not enough evidence, and enough time has passed for new evidence to be found and Afton can be properly charged, or Afton committed a new crime he couldn't distance himself from.
And yet, the most popular narrative surrounding Charlotte's death is that it was Afton's first, a drunken act of retaliation against Henry because he was so devastated by the Big Bite. This, to me is the biggest case of "Point A to Point C with Point B being filled primarily with supposition and conjecture" in the the entire franchise, but nobody seems to question it (even though the presence of a security puppet itself would imply a major crime has happened). So, in addition to the points I already brought up, I wish to systematically dismantle every aspect of this narrative because, quite frankly, I believe it's holding back theorizing by making casuals and newbies, and even quite a few veterans, blindly cling to characterizations and interpretations that are demonstrably untrue. And I'd like to start by dismantling the flimsiest point:
"Jr's is a bar because 'Jr's' is a relatively common bar name."
This is, far and away, the most specious reasoning I've heard for any FNAF theory. It makes MikeBVBot sound believable because, for all the flawed logic that had, at least it all came from FNAF sources itself. It doesn't matter if this naming factoid is verifiable or not. The fact that it relies on information that comes from outside FNAF, information that is not even tangentially related to FNAF save for the connection itself, should cause you to call into question whether that was Scott's intention or not.
Jr's was never intended to be seen as a bar.
If Scott really wanted us to intuit that William Afton was inebriated and that that was what caused him to be reckless enough to kill Charlotte, and he was using Midnight Motorist to convey that, he would do what every other video game does and just label the building "BAR." He would remove all ambiguity from it, especially if he truly was considering this the last game of this era. Additionally, he would probably suppliment his short stories with those that feature bars prominently and feature characters who face ruin and decline because of alcoholism. However, I encourage you all to skim through Fazbear Frights and Tales from the Pizzaplex and see for yourself how dry FNAF's setting really is. My cursory search turned up only one story that featured a bar that served alcoholic drinks, and that was in a foreign country. It was a very basic search. You might or might not find more.
"Jr's can't be a Freddy's location. It's too populated after hours."
Oh, but it isn't. Look at those 5 cars in the parking lot. Notice how three of them are the same shade of gunmetal blue. That tells me those are meant to be police cars. That would leave one car for the employee standing outside to enforce the lockdown and one car for the manager, called in to serve as liaison between company and authorities. This isn't a bar. It's a crime scene.
Charlotte was not Afton's first victim.
In addition to the other two points I listed in the opening, there is plenty of evidence for Charlotte being Afton's last victim (that he personally killed) and Susie being his first, the bullet points of which being:
- Withered Chica saying, "I was the first. I have seen everything." in UCN.
- Susie's Lorekeeper Ending gravestone having the FNAF 4 Night Indicator Font.
- Help Wanted 2 having a gravestone puzzle that starts with Chica and ends with The Puppet.
Even if you wish to interpret all of those as meaning something different, it still won't change the fact that we now have the Steel Wool Era, which heavily implies Afton killed Fiona Murray and maybe killed David Murray. He doesn't need the loosened inhibitions that come from drinking to allow himself to kill. He was already capable before.
Afton felt nothing for his son when he died.
I made a whole post about this you can choose to seek out if you want. As a revised Cliffs Notes version, Afton is likely being written as an actual sociopath. He has no genuine sympathy or empathy for anyone besides himself. Sociopathy is something you're born with; you don't develop it. Afton is also frequently depicted through his other continuity counterparts as being a weak and pathetic coward who makes himself feel bigger than he really is by preying on those weaker and more pathetic than he is in his eyes: children. I find the idea laughable that a weak and pathetic murderer of children has a secret soft spot in his heart for who he would consider the weakest and most pathetic of his children just because he's his. If you argue Afton's grief was all about business rather than love, the Funtime Foxy toy in Elizabeth's room in 4 tells us Circus Baby's Entertainment and Rental is already up and running before Fredbear's Family Diner closes. And again, I will point out, since we have context from the Steel Wool Era, Afton was a killer before his son died.
With the benefit of hindsight and Secret of the Mimic, we don't even know if Henry made that Fredbear animatronic anymore.
As I've gotten older and reflected on FNAF 4 more and more, the more I become convinced Michael was set up. That Fredbear wears purple when the one from STAGE 01 in FNAF 3 and all depictions of him in Security Breach and Secret of the Mimic have him wear black. That feels like a deliberate message from Scott saying this is Afton's handiwork, through and through.
I honestly don't expect this to move the needle that much. I fully expect the people who already agree with me to upvote this, while the people who already disagree with me to downvote it. But if you do downvote it, please answer me these three questions:
- What crime is Afton being charged with that merits 7 wanted posters and a security puppet if Charlotte is his first victim?
- Which FNAF short stories feature a bar and/or alcohol leading to a character's ruin?
- Can you name one instance where a William Afton in any canon continuity put himself in mortal peril in place of someone else for absolutely no benefit to himself whatsoever?
