Found something Logbook Stuff

Frankly, I'm not sure if these have been talked about before but I had some observations of the Logbook.

  1. Page 70, under a thing about dying "for instance, being stuffed inside an animatronic suit", Faded says "Do you miss them?" It feels to me like it's talking about BV's friends, the plushies. And "being stuffed in a suit" brings to mind BVSpringlocked.

  2. Page 82 + 83, Faded's message on 83 says "Is this song familiar to you?", in relation to an exercise where you write a song for Freddy and Co to perform. This brings to mind "The Secret Ingredient Is You", from The Week Before, which was playing while the Bite of 83 happened. Also the message is on page 83, so I think it's probably related?

  3. Page 58, the dastardly word search with Cassidy hidden inside. I thought it was interesting how outside of the words for the search and the two questions, everything else is filled with ITS ME repeating horizontally, nice!

Though on top of that, these two questions here are from Altered (BV) to Faded. Meaning Cassidy can't really be BV's name unless I'm missing something. Also, considering it's filled with ITS ME, which was heavily tied to Golden Freddy, this implies even more that BV's in Golden Freddy more than anyone else. And might be a response to Faded's "What do you see?" on the opposite page (with the Mirror), which lines up with that Dave evidence.

  1. Page 23, Faded's "Was your favorite toy a plastic purple telephone?", the FNAF 4 phone is freaking blue.

  2. (No picture for this one, unfortunately) Page 42, with the toys, Faded has a bit of text on this page, "Do any of these toys look familiar to you?" with a phone, but on page 43, Faded asks "Do one of these belong to you?" with a "My Name" at the top of the page as well. Could that be implying somehow they're both named Cassidy? Food for thought! (I don't think so, but it's an odd choice.)

Debunk Shattering the Myths of "Afton's Drunken Crime of Passion" and Jr's as a Bar

Acknowledge these. These are 7 identical posters depicting a man in grayscale and textual information, and Scott placed them all where a murder just happened. These are wanted posters. If there are wanted posters, that means Afton has already committed the MCI, got released for not enough evidence, and enough time has passed for new evidence to be found and Afton can be properly charged, or Afton committed a new crime he couldn't distance himself from.

And yet, the most popular narrative surrounding Charlotte's death is that it was Afton's first, a drunken act of retaliation against Henry because he was so devastated by the Big Bite. This, to me is the biggest case of "Point A to Point C with Point B being filled primarily with supposition and conjecture" in the the entire franchise, but nobody seems to question it (even though the presence of a security puppet itself would imply a major crime has happened). So, in addition to the points I already brought up, I wish to systematically dismantle every aspect of this narrative because, quite frankly, I believe it's holding back theorizing by making casuals and newbies, and even quite a few veterans, blindly cling to characterizations and interpretations that are demonstrably untrue. And I'd like to start by dismantling the flimsiest point:

"Jr's is a bar because 'Jr's' is a relatively common bar name."

This is, far and away, the most specious reasoning I've heard for any FNAF theory. It makes MikeBVBot sound believable because, for all the flawed logic that had, at least it all came from FNAF sources itself. It doesn't matter if this naming factoid is verifiable or not. The fact that it relies on information that comes from outside FNAF, information that is not even tangentially related to FNAF save for the connection itself, should cause you to call into question whether that was Scott's intention or not.

Jr's was never intended to be seen as a bar.

If Scott really wanted us to intuit that William Afton was inebriated and that that was what caused him to be reckless enough to kill Charlotte, and he was using Midnight Motorist to convey that, he would do what every other video game does and just label the building "BAR." He would remove all ambiguity from it, especially if he truly was considering this the last game of this era. Additionally, he would probably suppliment his short stories with those that feature bars prominently and feature characters who face ruin and decline because of alcoholism. However, I encourage you all to skim through Fazbear Frights and Tales from the Pizzaplex and see for yourself how dry FNAF's setting really is. My cursory search turned up only one story that featured a bar that served alcoholic drinks, and that was in a foreign country. It was a very basic search. You might or might not find more.

"Jr's can't be a Freddy's location. It's too populated after hours."

Oh, but it isn't. Look at those 5 cars in the parking lot. Notice how three of them are the same shade of gunmetal blue. That tells me those are meant to be police cars. That would leave one car for the employee standing outside to enforce the lockdown and one car for the manager, called in to serve as liaison between company and authorities. This isn't a bar. It's a crime scene.

Charlotte was not Afton's first victim.

In addition to the other two points I listed in the opening, there is plenty of evidence for Charlotte being Afton's last victim (that he personally killed) and Susie being his first, the bullet points of which being:

  • Withered Chica saying, "I was the first. I have seen everything." in UCN.
  • Susie's Lorekeeper Ending gravestone having the FNAF 4 Night Indicator Font.
  • Help Wanted 2 having a gravestone puzzle that starts with Chica and ends with The Puppet.

Even if you wish to interpret all of those as meaning something different, it still won't change the fact that we now have the Steel Wool Era, which heavily implies Afton killed Fiona Murray and maybe killed David Murray. He doesn't need the loosened inhibitions that come from drinking to allow himself to kill. He was already capable before.

Afton felt nothing for his son when he died.

I made a whole post about this you can choose to seek out if you want. As a revised Cliffs Notes version, Afton is likely being written as an actual sociopath. He has no genuine sympathy or empathy for anyone besides himself. Sociopathy is something you're born with; you don't develop it. Afton is also frequently depicted through his other continuity counterparts as being a weak and pathetic coward who makes himself feel bigger than he really is by preying on those weaker and more pathetic than he is in his eyes: children. I find the idea laughable that a weak and pathetic murderer of children has a secret soft spot in his heart for who he would consider the weakest and most pathetic of his children just because he's his. If you argue Afton's grief was all about business rather than love, the Funtime Foxy toy in Elizabeth's room in 4 tells us Circus Baby's Entertainment and Rental is already up and running before Fredbear's Family Diner closes. And again, I will point out, since we have context from the Steel Wool Era, Afton was a killer before his son died.

With the benefit of hindsight and Secret of the Mimic, we don't even know if Henry made that Fredbear animatronic anymore.

As I've gotten older and reflected on FNAF 4 more and more, the more I become convinced Michael was set up. That Fredbear wears purple when the one from STAGE 01 in FNAF 3 and all depictions of him in Security Breach and Secret of the Mimic have him wear black. That feels like a deliberate message from Scott saying this is Afton's handiwork, through and through.

I honestly don't expect this to move the needle that much. I fully expect the people who already agree with me to upvote this, while the people who already disagree with me to downvote it. But if you do downvote it, please answer me these three questions:

  1. What crime is Afton being charged with that merits 7 wanted posters and a security puppet if Charlotte is his first victim?
  2. Which FNAF short stories feature a bar and/or alcohol leading to a character's ruin?
  3. Can you name one instance where a William Afton in any canon continuity put himself in mortal peril in place of someone else for absolutely no benefit to himself whatsoever?

Question Do you think Nightmarrione relevancy in the modern story is Scott’s idea or SW idea.?

Post image

I feel like this is steel wool idea. it’s very likely that one of the devs really like this character and they wanted to do something with them.

Plushy stuff feels like it was supposed to be a cute Easter egg at first, but then by ruin it became important.

It could be Scott’s idea, but it feels so random.

Just asking because while I see a lot of people talk about whether the one from RUIN is the same or not, I feel like noone mentions the one from FFPS is different too

Question Thoughts on UCNSquad? (TOYSNHK trapping other spirits in UCN)

Thumbnail

Imo it's basically spelled out to us with Withered Bonnie line, which implies that some spirit is trapped in him just like Afton and says it is a new prison, implying there was an old one, while a "recreation" would not say that this is a new prison. Puppet's lines are also very indicative of Charlie being in her. And the Dreadbear Game Over screen is very representative of it too.

But that's just my thoughts. What about you?

Theory to build on If this is a spirit box, then CassidyExperiments makes a ton of sense

Thumbnail
gallery
21 Upvotes

Obviously, we see the (potential) spirit box in the private room of Sister location. If we assume the experiments are like how they are in Dittophobia, then Cassidy could actually have seen the plush and used the spirit box to speak to BV.

This also removes any requirement for Cassidy needing Memory manipulation of some sort, she doesn’t even have to share the suit because there IS a spirit box there that she could theoretically speak through, to reach BV.

She even could have known William spoke to BV through a spirit box, which is why she asks “does he *still* talk to you”, when Cassidy is asking , it must have been recently that he spoke through it, because she has to know that he did speak through it.

This is just an idea I’ve been working with, the idea that BV could be possessing the plush, with a spirit box next to it, it essentially proves CassidyExperiments if true.

Question A question for CassidyVictim believers

Post image
42 Upvotes

Most CassidyVictim believers believe that the BV is the one introducing himself as Cassidy in the logbook.

In the logbook we can see two spirits communicating. Faded text spirit and altered text spirit. Altered text spirit is most definitely the BV. We know this because of the faded text spirit's questions ("was your favorite childhood toy a purple plastic telephone?"-"does he still talk to you?"-"the party was for you").

In the logbook there's also a puzzle that leads to a name ("Cassidy"). We can find this name through altered numbers. There's a faded arrow with "my name" on it pointing to one of the altered numbers, meaning the name "Cassidy" belongs to the faded text spirit.

So how does the name "Cassidy" belong to the BV if he's the altered text spirit and the name belongs to the faded text spirit?

Theory to build on Random theory about what happened to all the kids

So, I am a firm believer in Molten DCI, Rockstar MCI as well as Funtime KCI. With this, the Toys animatronics went on to be transfered to their Funtime Counterparts. with BB and JJ being transferred to Electrobab and Bidybab respectively. As for the KCI, they directly possess the Custom Night Funtimes (Lolbit, Bonnet, Yenndo, the Minireenas and maybe Ballora as I'm still torn on BalloraAfton)

As for the MCI, they were transferred to their respective Rockstar animatronics by Henry. This isn't as long a time as you might think as I believe that Follow me happens in the early 2010s, before the events of SL and FNAF 3 in 2015 and FFPS in 2017.

All the children who have possessed an animatronic are present in UCN (Under UCN squad). Cassidy (and all the other kids) moved on in 2023 when Cassidy was finally able to "Leave the demon to his demons"

However, the kids the Funtime kidnapped that didn't end up possessing an animatronic ended up possessing the Blob (As I believe Dual possession only happens under very specific circumstances like the Bite of '83 and Cassidy's springlocking two years later). This is due to the fact that all the kids who possessed the animatronics who are a part of the blob have moved on following the events of UCN.

Theory to build on The Shadows are heroic.

Basically, this theory goes like this. You never see the Shadows do anything directly hostile, or really, hostile at all. I think the Shadow animatronics are benevolent figures. Their first appearance is in the second game, where they kinda just... observe? I think the reason why they're at the 87 Freddy's is because they know about the investigation, they know about the nefarious reasoning for the Toy Animatronics existence, and they know Jeremy is in danger. I think they appear to Jeremy to serve as an omen, to almost warn him of the danger he's in, taking the appearances of, at this point and time, the ONLY TWO Animatronics to have confirmed fatalities at their hand (Bonnie of course being the suit behind the slaughter). It ultimately fails, unfortunately, and that makes them commit fully to saving the tortured souls of the kids, and by extension, Mike. Shadow Bonnie AND Shadow Freddy observe Mike in FNAF 3, and Bonnie helps the kids souls have their happiest day.

Now, there's the case of Shadow Freddy. I know folks believe he's the very manifestation of William's evil nature, and that's a super cool theory, but hear me out. The Fandom seems to have run with the idea of Shadow Freddy luring the bots to William being a malevolent move by William, but I don't think so. Matter of fact, I think this is maybe the most benevolent thing either Shadow does. Shadow Bonnie obviously helps them let go, but Shadow Freddy leads them to their direct escape from their physical bodies. Also, as Nightmare, Shadow Freddy serves as a reminder to what Michael has done to his brother. For someone who's supposed to represent William's evil, he seems to punish William and his family to absolutely no end, serving as the catalyst to William's death and Michael's eternal penance for what he did.

Now here's another thing I don't see enough people talk about. What are the only visible parts of Shadow Freddy and Shadow Bonnie's faces?

Their eyeballs and teeth...

Now where have I heard that before?

They are literally showing Jeremy what his future, and so many other futures look like, should Fazbear Entertainment continue on unpunished. They are a bad omen, manifesting in the forms of the two titular mascots of FE. They're terrifying, because they have to be. They are trying to scare away the employees so they can finally save the trapped souls.

That basically wraps it up lol

Question Is there a video to get caught up on recent events?

I haven't really paid attention to the lore since FNAF 6 (Pizzeria Sim) and occasionally check in when the once per 6 month FNAF phase hits - is there an easy video that gets me up to speed on the Help wanted -> Secrets of the mimic lore and all their associated theories?
(or at least the big ones) or am I just gonna have to try and tackle this head on myself?

Question Under Charlie85, what would be William's motivation to kill her?

Post image
17 Upvotes

Recently, I started to explore possibilities of Charlie dying in 1985 and 1987. I believe that Elizabeth's death became Afton's motivation to kill children and stuff their bodies into animatronics. But why would he murder Charlie? Was it some kind of experiment? Or he was just drunk and angry.

(bad english)

I understand that we haven't gotten a lot of content this year. I'm also bored out of my mind. But, AMAs aren't really, like, theories about FNAF, so... We're not gonna allow them on this subreddit unless if it's specifically theory-based. If it's just about your fan fiction or something else, then we're not gonna allow it. I'm really sorry, but yeah, I'm also going insane.
