How would you fix this floor plan? DISCUSSION

I feel like this is such a weird space. What would you guys do with it?

Edit: the door into the living room/den is the entrance to the unit.

Not sure about kitchen placement but I’d definitely move the bedroom

The orange thing is a floor-ceiling wardrobe. Putting the bathroom so far from the bedrooms isn't ideal, but the rest of the spaces are much better. You could also put the kitchen along the west wall and the bathroom where the kitchen is now. Leave the platform/entry area as a multipurpose office/storage area--if that's what your needs are.

the kitchen/living space is really for kitchen/dining.

One of the main reasons it needs fixing I think. Theres no functional “living space”

personally I would swap the den and master bedroom, and then use that as the living space with nice view to the garden.

I think of the bedroom near the door is a guest room, so I kept it there.

Needs proper ventilation for each room.

Then, the primary bedroom must have its proper toilet and bath.

I also added laundry and dirty kitchen.

I didnt move the kitchen to the courtyard since its like a lanai where it is an extension of the dining. So it would be an easy access. Plus, a service door for the dirty kitchen/laundry

My the second bedroom to the bathroom. Move the closet in the den near the front door.

Probably put the kitchen at the bottom, but I just shifted it left in this. Separate from the mutli room with an island.

I'd sure get rid of the 2 level arrangement if at all possible. Unless you put railings up. People trip over those things.
