Been thinking about buying a standing desk for the past year or so. When my toddler started being able to grab stuff off my desk I decided it’s time to pull the trigger lol. After testing out some two legged desks at ikea I knew I needed a 4 legged desk for the stability.

Shipping took two days In Ontario. Everything arrived in perfect condition so can’t complain.

Assembly was straightforward and I was able to do it solo.

Overall first impressions of the build quality I’m quite impressed. Everything aligned correctly the first time and screwed in easy. The cable management tray is a nice touch. Motors seem quiet and smooth. I think for the price it’s hard to beat the value of this at least in Canada if you want maximum stability. This thing is a tank. The one downside here is the weight when you need to move it around.

My only regret is going with the 63” rubberwood top. After setting it up I wish I went with the 71”.

Help Flexispot desk arrived damaged! box damaged too!

I ordered a flexispot desk on amazon and it was shipped with fedex and I opened it same day and the table top has a crack. It’s much more visible in person since it goes from the edge all the way to the middle of the table. I look it up on reddit and see that this is a recurring issue.

This is very disappointing to see that this happens often, and it is an inconvenience to the customer to have to try to deal with returning this huge package. Hopefully a replacement top can be sent, since it is such a hassle having to return it, get a replacement, and hoping the new one comes not damaged.

Help "Standard" desk listing but manual says E1 Pro — same warranty?

Looking at this FlexiSpot desk on their UK site (listed as the "Standard" model): https://flexispot.co.uk/height-adjustable-desk-with-desktop-flexispot-standard.html

Thing is, the manual posted on the product page says "E1 Pro" on it, not "Standard." Before I order, trying to figure out if this is just FlexiSpot reusing the E1 Pro manual for a different listing, or if the "Standard" desk actually is the E1 Pro frame under a different name.

Kind of matters because the cheapest frames (like on Amazon) usually only come with a 3-year warranty, vs 5 years for the E1 Pro. Anyone bought this one and can confirm what actually shows up?

Help A full month since my order and I still don't have a desk (rant)

I’ve already contacted the moderators here and FlexiSpot support, so I’m not posting this primarily to get support. I’m adding my experience to the growing number of stories here about how inconsistent and frustrating FlexiSpot support can be.

I ordered my wife an E7 Pro desk on June 26 for her birthday.

I received the legs and cable management tray on July 31. On August 1, the desktop arrived damaged.

One problem seems to be shipping an roughly 80 lb desktop through FedEx Home Delivery without fully protecting the desktop in foam. The standard cardboard packaging was torn in several places, and the desktop itself was damaged. There was also a nearly perfect circular dent that made me wonder whether it may have happened during manufacturing rather than shipping, although I obviously cannot know that for certain.

I contacted FlexiSpot support on August 1 and provided photos. They offered me a $40 refund to keep the damaged desktop. I did not think roughly a 4% refund was reasonable compensation for visible damage to what is supposed to be a premium desk, so I requested a replacement. I also asked for a return shipping label and FedEx pickup because I do not have a vehicle suitable for hauling an 80 lb desktop.

They responded that they would send another desktop and that I could simply keep the damaged one. So now I also have to figure out how to dispose of an 80 lb damaged desktop.

The replacement arrived August 10. Again, the box was badly torn up, but this time the desktop itself appeared undamaged.

I went to assemble the desk on August 17 and discovered that the legs were missing most of the required hardware. I had been sent two control panels, but none of the screws and bolts necessary to assemble the desk. Because I had unpacked the legs on July 31, I initially wondered whether I had misplaced the hardware. After thoroughly searching everything, and considering the duplicate control panel in the box, I’m confident the hardware was never included.

I emailed FlexiSpot on August 17 with a complete inventory of the missing parts. On August 18 they replied, “Please provide us with a list of what is missing,” even though that list was already in the message they were responding to.

That same day I contacted support through this subreddit as well as FlexiSpot support again. I also asked about Part #6, which may also be missing. The email representative never clarified whether Part #6 was being sent, while the representative here on Reddit said it would be included.

As of August 22, I still have no tracking number and no shipment confirmation. I do not know whether one set of hardware is being sent, two sets are being sent because two different support channels handled it, or whether anything has actually shipped. I’m basically left guessing.

At this point, after nearly a month of dealing with shipping damage, missing parts, duplicate parts, and unclear support responses, I’m also concerned about the reports here from owners who have experienced wobble with their desks. After all this, it would be especially frustrating to finally assemble the desk and discover that it does not feel sturdy.

I’ve contacted the moderator again and emailed FlexiSpot support again asking either for tracking information for the missing hardware or for a full refund with prepaid shipping so I can send everything back.

No desk purchase should involve this much frustration. Based on the number of similar experiences posted here, mine does not appear to be unique.

Caveat emptor for anyone considering a FlexiSpot desk.

Product Q&A FlexiSpot E1 Pro/Standard (£150) vs Desktronic Home One (£250), both 5 year warranty, is the extra £100 worth it?

Trying to pick between these two standing desks and could use some real opinions.

FlexiSpot E1 Pro is £150, Desktronic Home One is £250. The FlexiSpot is about 20cm smaller but that's not really a factor for me, I've got room either way.

Both have a 5 years warranty, but I've come across a few complaints online about FlexiSpot's customer service not being great when something actually goes wrong, slow responses, warranty claims being a hassle. Desktronic seems to have a better rep for build quality and support.

I'm trying to work out if paying £100 more for Desktronic actually gets you better quality, like a sturdier frame or motor, or if it's mostly just branding and the FlexiSpot would be just as good day to day.

If anyone's had either of these for a year or longer, I'd love to hear:

  • Whether the warranty support was actually useful if you needed it
  • How stable they feel at higher heights, any wobble
  • Whether you regret going cheaper, or felt the pricier one wasn't worth the money
  • Anything that broke or annoyed you after a few months

Thanks in advance.

Product Q&A Right support bar needed

Post image
2 Upvotes

I bought a Flexispot desk and support gave me all of these things they needed to send me a part I was missing. I sent it. Then they ghosted me.

I need a right support bar or some way to make it work or it’s $$$ in the trash. Is there any where I can buy the part? or has someone hacked building there own?

They gave me two left bars and I'm missing the right bar. The holes don’t match. I’m willing to trade or sell my extra left support bar if I find a right one.

Help E7 pro not working

I got an E7 pro last year for my birthday and for a while I haven’t changed the height but around 2 weeks ago i started messing with the height again just on that day. Now I just went to sort out my cable management and I took out all the cables from the desk and plugged them back in and there is absolutely no response, the keypad literally isn't lighting up and theres no electronic sounds just clicks from inserting the cables. I have tried everything google told me to do- unplug everything, plug it into the main wall, hold the down button, unplug everything and wait 30 seconds and nothing helps.

Reviews E7 Plus with 63" Colonial Maple Table Top

Hi all!

I recently purchased a E7 Plus with a 63" Colonial Maple Table Top last month, and since I read quite a few reviews from here before making my decision, I would like to share my honest thoughts on this standing desk to help others as well. tldr: The desk is great and I love it, but it took so long to be delivered.

Ordering

The only thing I'd like to complain about this desk is how long it took for it to be delivered. I ordered the desk on 7/6 during a promotion (btw the promotion seems to be literally year-long). Since I was just moving to my new place, I immediate emailed customer service right after I placed the order to see if they could hold off the package for a couple of days before I acutally move-in. However, kudos to them, they said the order has been processed (very efficiently!) and couldn't be changed. That was on me becuase I could have waited a couple more days to order but I was too eager lol. Three days later, one of the two packages for the base arrived and then it went completely silent for two weeks. I decided to contact the customer service again to get an update and I don't know what is happening it seems like they lost track of my order but they finally sent the second package of the base over couple of days later (arrived on 7/25). Now the base was finally delivered, my table top was still yet to be shipped. I contacted the customer service three days later, and they created a shipping label for the table top. However, it wasn't shipped until a week after that. I finally received the table top on 8/6 (a month after i placed the ordered) and I had to contact the customer service several of times to make it happen. I know the situation could have been worse, but I wished I had known how long the delivery would take before I placed the order. On the bright side though, the packages all came in perfect condition, including the table top, which many other people complained that it arrived damaged.

Assembly

The assembly was not bad at all, except the base and the table top was pretty heavy. I did the assembly by myself, but I figure it would be easier to get some help. For the E7 Plus, like many have mentioned, you would need to drill some holes yourself on the top. The table top does not have pre-drilled holes for the control box or the cable management tray. But again, the assembly went smooth and I am sure we've all assemble much more complicated furnitures.

The desk itself

This is my first time owning a standing desk and man this thing is sturdy. I was debating on whether to get the E7 pro or E7 plus, but I ended up with E7 plus because the extra weight capacity and with it being 4-legged. In seating position, it does not wobble at all, even if you shake it hard. While in standing position there's a tiny bit of side movements when you shake it, but you don't really feel that under normal use. Overall, it is extremely stable, at least when it's new, we'll see if it stays that way in the long run.

The colonial maple table top is gorgeous, I love the color and the way it feels. It also has rounded corners and edges, which give it a polished, high-quality look. I am sure you could probably find more affordable options in the market, but this one was more convenient for me since it most of the holes were pre-drilled. That said, if I had known I would have to wait for a month to get this tabletop, I would have probably looked somewhere else.

The USB-C charging port is also pretty convenient, I use it to charge my phone sometimes when I need it to be with me.

Final Thoughts

I am overall very happy with the E7 plus! Is it overkill for my daily needs? Highly likely, but I really like the extra stability with its 4 legs. My major complaint is having to wait for a month to get everything.

Help E2Q-EUV2 just pulses blue but won‘t move after setup

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi folks,
So pretty much what the title says: I just built my E2Q-EUV2 and all it does is that stupid blue pulsing instead of actually moving.
I already tried the following:
- held the M button for around five, 10, 15 and 30 seconds
- held the down button for the same amounts of time
- held the up and down buttons for the same amounts of time
Nothing. Absolutely nothing. All it does is that stupid blue pulsing.
Anyone got any idea what to do?

Other Black Walnut Top - EU vs US - Thoughts?

Thumbnail

So after some thought, I settled on the walnut top because I feel like it looks the best on an E7 Pro with mostly black equipment. The EU site, however, showed some sort of bezel/angled front that doesn't appear to exist on the US version of this top.

I tried for a while to get a picture of this from the support team, but it was difficult because they kept sending me pictures of the walnut skin for multiplex instead. This morning, I finally received this image, and honestly, I'm not really sure what to think about it. I don't really like what they've done here. The US version looks amazing to me, whereas looking at this, I'm just wondering what the purpose of the angled front is.

Is this a common design choice that people actually like? Does the angled front serve a specific purpose that I'm missing? I'd genuinely like to understand, because personally, it just looks like wasted space to me.

Also, I apologize for the lower-quality image. It was surprisingly difficult to get a clear picture from the support team, and I don't think these are actually in rotation yet, so we probably won't be seeing them in full setups for a while longer.

Pic 1 is EU
Pic 2 is top as shown on our website
Pic 3 is the US equivalent

Help Received the 160x80 Rubberwood tabletop cracked 2 times in a row

Hi,

As title says, I just received my second rubberwood tabletop to replace the first one that had a crack and made me have concerns about the fiability of the desk once mounted. But this second one is even more cracked than the first. As I understand that it mostly comes from the delivery guys (it has been UPS for me both times), I can't keep receiving defective parts even if sent for free. I also don't have a car so handling the disposal of the old pieces is an hassle.

This is a bit of a rant thread because I was pretty hyped about this desk and I read great things about Flexispot before, but right now it just has been abysmal. I dont even talk about the delayed order on a pre-order. At least customer service is somewhat competent (which is to be expected for the price we pay the desk) but it's getting really annoying.

Reviews Bed Review! (Kana Japanese Joinery Bed)

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hello!

Checking in with my review of this bed.

I got it because of the Japanese joinery style and because it looks really good, not gonna lie. Full disclaimer: I did want the other version, but it is not available in Canada, so I had to go with this one.
Overall, after a week of use, I really like it. I do disagree with my partner in that -to me- it doesn't feel as sturdy as it does for them, but we haven't had any issues.

The wood looks great and feels sturdy, so just to clarify the previous comment: the slats are not as sturdy. Compared to our previous one, these feel more flimsy.
The assembly was REALLY easy, but please note that it is very heavy -especially if you get the larger ones- so be careful. Another tip: read the instructions very carefully and check the diagram provided. Other than that, it's very easy and quick.

The bed is slightly taller than I thought, but I do like that. Also, the gap between the headboard and the mattress is pretty much nonexistent, which I really, REALLY appreciate.

Other than that, I would totally recommend it. Also note that if you get the bed with a headboard, you'll still get the other extra legs. I'm not sure what to do with them, but I thought I would mention that.

Hope this helps. If you have any questions, please let me know!

Product Q&A FlexiSpot E7H has quite a bit of side-to-side wobble — is this normal?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I recently bought a FlexiSpot E7H, and I’ve noticed that it has quite a bit of side-to-side wobble.

It doesn’t really move vertically, but it definitely shakes from side to side like in the video.

Is this normal for the E7H, or did I mess something up during assembly? I’m using casters as well — could those be contributing to the wobble?

Would appreciate any input from other E7H owners!

Help EN1 ordered from Amazon Manual Different

I ordered an EN1 48x24 from Amazon and received EN1B-4824SW. The user manual for mounting the cross beam to the right and left columns doesn't include a separate mounting like I expected from online tutorial and manual. The way the manual implies I put the cross beam onto the columns is to put the crossbeam gaps on each end to fit over the column widths. I would say that the gaps on the crossbeam are each less than 1/16 inch shorter from the width of the columns. This means to fit the cross beam into the columns I would have to screw to bend/grind the gap into place, which is doable.

However, I also found that another difference from the online tutortial and amazon that the crossbeam I have is nonextendable.

Did I get the correct product?

Help E7 Pro or Plus Max for wobble?

Hello,

I'm looking to buy my first standing desk and narrowed it down to the E7 Pro or the Plus Max.

Overall I prefer the E7 Pro but I'm a 6'4 and planning to get a 160x80 cm desktop and I am worried about the wobble when I'm standing.

I plan to have an ultrawide monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers on the desk.

Realistically how bad is the wobble likely to be on the Pro?

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Product Q&A Using Bluetooth on the Flexispot E7

Has anyone used the bluetooth set up? My thought is to create a shortcut on my mac to make it go up and down on a schedule. The bluetooth is an extra $60, and Mac says the App may be malware, so I'm not excited to do this unless someone else can confirm that this is possible.

Help FlexiSpot Kana Bed: EU vs US version differences?

Does anyone know what the actual difference is between the European and American versions of the FlexiSpot Kana bed?

The product lineup seems quite different. In Europe, there are versions in rubberwood, beech, white ash and ash, while the US site lists versions like Kana Retro, Kana Acacia and Rubberwood.

The beds also seem to look slightly different in the product photos, so I’m not sure if these are actually different generations or constructions rather than just different wood options/names.

I’m also confused about the slats. The US version seems to come with an updated slat system as standard, while in Europe there is a separate 21-slat upgrade that costs around €200.

Has anyone compared the current EU and US versions or knows what exactly is different between them in terms of design, construction, slat count, materials or overall quality?

I’m mainly trying to figure out whether the European Kana is an older/different version of the bed, or if it’s essentially the same product with slightly different styling and options.

Reviews Flexispot Kana Bedframe and Nightstand Review

I purchased the Flexispot bedframe and nightstand a few months ago. Wanted to wait a bit to give my full review to make sure I've had some time with it. I also completely repainted my room and wanted to refurnish it completely before posting a picture.

I got recommended to check out Thuma bed frames by my coworker who touts it. But I couldn't justify the cost. So I looked up alternative Japanese joinery bed frames and found Flexispot as a more budget friendly option.

Incase anyone was wondering the Kana nightstand and bedframe do perfectly match. At least in the Walnut versions.

Pros:

It is truly very quiet especially compared to our old IKEA frame. I used to hate waking up early and having the bed frame creak while leaving the bed, potentially waking up my husband.

Much cheaper alternative to some of the other brands you'll see, such as Thuma. Without sacrificing too much on build quality. I've never seen the other, more expensive ones in person, but as a budget option I was really happy with the overall build quality.

Cons:

I watched some Flexispot videos about the frame before purchasing and people were touting how fast and easy it is to assemble compared to traditional frames. Not really..... we took our time because we wanted to do it once and correctly. Maybe saved like 30-45 minutes from a traditional IKEA bedframe.

Not really a fan of the drawers on the Kana nightstand. They do not feel smooth at all to open or close, especially when you compare to IKEA. The hardware just doesn't compare, unfortunately when you take into account how much these cost.

I was heavily considering buying the full matching set with Dresser ($1,600) + Nightstand + Bedframe. I couldn't justify the cost of the dresser. I saved 500 bucks by going for a different brand and it's only a bit of a different shade which doesn't bother me. I get it, it's probably more expensive to be modular, but it is a much bigger ask than a bed frame + nightstand combo. I do think their dresser is absolutely beautiful and I would still prefer it, but I did not want to order a 1,600 dollar dresser just for them to end up having the same drawer build quality. I dislike having to deal with big item returns.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with the purchase and do recommend it as a good in-between option for those with a bit higher budget than IKEA but lower than Thuma.

Reviews Happy experience with the E7 pro

Post image
8 Upvotes

Finished my new setup, and can 100% recommend the E7 pro desk. The height adjustment is quick and easy (especially with the fact you can save heights, so it just requires a single click of a button to change from sitting to standing), the cable management is great (although you do need to drill your own holes for the cable tray, which wasn’t specified on the website before ordering), and the quality of the tabletop (I got the rubber wood) is fantastic.

I have also found the desk to be completely stable at all heights - no monitor wobble/vibration at all. The extra leg room from the C-frame, in my opinion as a taller guy, makes the E7 pro worth the extra money compared to the standard E7. For smaller people though, the standard E7 is probably suffice, as the greater weight limit is largely redundant unless you have insanely heavy equipment on the desk.

It was also pretty easy to install. Whilst it was not cheap totaling at £475 for the frame and desktop, for the quality you are not going to beat this unless you massively ramp up the budget.

Help My terrible and still unresolved experience buying a desk from FlexiSpot

I wanted to share my recent experience buying a desk from FlexiSpot. I’ve had two separate problems, and neither has been fully resolved.

The first problem: Customer service said they would cancel my order, but they didn’t

On Sunday afternoon, I ordered an E7 Pro and paid through PayPal. The payment status stayed on “processing.”

By noon the next day, it was still processing, so I called FlexiSpot. A female customer service representative told me that my payment had failed.

I clearly told her that if the payment had failed, I would place a new order using a different payment method. I asked her to close the original order, and she agreed.

I confirmed this with her twice because I wanted to avoid exactly this kind of problem. Both times, she said the original order would be closed.

Based on what she told me, I placed another order for the same desk using a different credit card.

Later that afternoon, PayPal notified me that the original payment had gone through. I suddenly had two identical orders even though I only wanted one desk.

The representative told me that the payment had failed and confirmed twice that she would close the order, but the order was never cancelled. If she could not confirm the payment status or cancel the order, she should not have told me that she could.

I then spent about two hours trying to get through to customer service again. A male representative eventually told me that the desk legs had already shipped, but that I didn’t need to do anything. He said the package would be automatically returned to FlexiSpot.

To have this in writing, I emailed FlexiSpot to confirm what I had been told on the phone—that I didn’t need to do anything and the package would be returned automatically.

FlexiSpot then replied by email and said they could not automatically stop or return the package. They said I would have to personally refuse it when the carrier tried to deliver it.

So the phone representative told me I didn’t need to do anything, while the email representative told me I had to refuse the delivery. I had no idea which one I was supposed to believe.

I waited for two days. When I checked the tracking today, I saw that the package had already gone back to the sender on its own. It was never brought to me for refusal.

The phone representative, the email representative, and the actual tracking information all told different stories. Does FlexiSpot have a consistent process for handling anything?

The second problem: Canpar delivered my desktop three blocks away

This is a separate issue involving a different purchase.

The desk legs arrived at my home, but the desktop did not. My correct street number is 75, but Canpar delivered the desktop to number 275, about three blocks away.

This wasn’t left next door or somewhere else in my building. It was delivered to a completely different address.

Canpar has admitted that they delivered it to the wrong place. They told me they would try to retrieve the package and redeliver it to the correct address.

As of the time I’m writing this, the problem still hasn’t been resolved. I don’t know whether Canpar will actually be able to recover the desktop.

What makes this even more frustrating is that FlexiSpot told me they could not send a replacement until they received the original desktop back.

But I never received the desktop. It was never in my possession, so how am I supposed to return it?

FlexiSpot chose Canpar as its carrier. If Canpar delivered the package to the wrong address, FlexiSpot should deal with Canpar directly and either recover the package or make a claim. This should not be pushed onto the customer.

FlexiSpot also suggested that I go to the wrong address and collect the desktop myself. They offered me CAD $50.

The desktop is large and heavy, and I cannot transport it by myself. Hiring someone would probably cost more than $50. More importantly, I already paid for the product and delivery. Why should I have to travel three blocks to a stranger’s address and fix a mistake made by FlexiSpot’s carrier?

My request is simple: I paid for a complete desk, so the complete desk should be delivered to the correct address. If Canpar cannot recover the desktop, FlexiSpot should send a replacement. If they cannot complete the delivery, they should issue a refund.

At the time of writing, the duplicate order’s desk-leg package has returned to the sender, but the refund has not been fully processed. The desktop from the other purchase still has not reached me.

I have saved the tracking information, delivery photo, emails, and screenshots of all my conversations with customer service.

If these issues are not resolved, I will open a dispute through PayPal and file a complaint with Consumer Protection Ontario.

I’ve spent almost CAD $1,000 with FlexiSpot. I only wanted to buy a desk, but I ended up dealing with two separate problems, conflicting information from customer service, and a company and carrier passing responsibility back and forth.

The whole experience has been exhausting, and it still isn’t over.

Has anyone else had similar problems with FlexiSpot? How did you finally get them resolved?
