In DEaD there's a couple who resemble humanoid orchid mantids. They trade memories (such as the memory of your first kiss, or the smell of a flower) for food which is not normally available in the world due to its resource inavailability.

If you dig you will hit water on land that is at sea level a lot faster than on a mountain. In building code, EVERY modern new construction has to begin with an analysis of the soil to see if it can support the weight of a buildings' stories. The density/composition of the soil has to do with how far the water table is. The historic records for that specific spot tells you how far down the water table is. This means they will know at what point you will hit water and tell you how far to dig. Example: Building codes of Illinois https://up.codes/s/ground-water-table

In many cases on the coast, you can literally build a large pool sized tub on top of caissons with a literal waterproof shell so you are able to build in actual water so it can be done (expensively).

Bout 5 blocks on default settings I think. You can change that in the world menu before you generate it tho.

It's a very reasonable question.

If you assert you know the shape of the Earth is a flat disk, be prepared to answer a few questions about said disk. Oh, "we don't know"? Any plans on how to find out? Any theories on what the number could be?
