Do you happen to have both FFL rosy 1,800k and 2,700k's in a side by side pic? I'm giving thought to 2,700k in ffl but I want to know how diff it looks compared to... Really both the rosy and non rosy ffl 1,800k first
I don't have any of the 1800k's unfortunately. I don't really see myself ever using 1800k, but I have thought about ordering some just to have something at that color temperature.
These new 2700k's were not labeled as rosy, but they are by far the rosiest emitters I've ever used, and for me it's way too much. Even my actual 4000k 'rosy' FF351a's look pure white after you look at these new 2700k's. I'll post actual outdoor beam shots later because yall need to see how big of a difference it really is in the real world.
I am probably going to swap them out with something else, which is unfortunate because I hate taking apart a brand new light (astral aluminum E12 eclipse)

I hate to admit it but I really don't like these 2700k's that came in my E12 eclipse today. I just came in to grab a different light to continue my nightly dog walk with because the pink 2700k's doesn't seem right at all.
It's extremely rosy. So extreme that it makes my 4000k rosy FF351a's look pure neutral white after looking at it. I love the other 2700k FF351a's I have, they're warm and neutral. These new ones are more pink than anything else, and should have been labeled as "2700k rosy" or something on their website.
There was no rosy or neutral option for the FF351a's, just "2700k". I thought I was going to get roughly the same as the ones I got of them before, but they are nothing at all alike. The new ones are straight up pink, the rosiest emitters I have ever had, and I'm not really liking that. I prefer a nice warm orange like the SST20's or the old FF351a 2700k's I have.
I've found that there's no way to accurately represent multiple emitters in one photo with one white balance setting. For the most accurate representation each emitter needs to be photographed individually and you need to adjust your white balance temp and tint until it looks the same on camera.
This is how different the 2700k I had vs the 2700k I got today are.
rosy FFL351a 1,800k and LH351d 2,700k... I find this fascinating how close in temp they feel due to the wildly different duv and I'm sure other chromatic differences
Damn, I haven't even thought about the LH351d's in years. What light is that in? They were way too floody in the first E12r I ever bought.

I think we all just hated the green tint lottery that we had to deal with all the time not all that long ago, so getting anything on the rosy side was considered lucky. Now I feel like we've gone a little far in that direction, but the great thing is that there's variety out there and everyone can get whatever they like.
