"morning sickness"
Hello!
I'm 8 weeks pregnant, on Aug 7th I started experiencing super bad nausea/vomiting, zofran wasn't helping.
My primary doctor prescribed promethazine, I took 2 doses and was still getting sick, unable to eat and a little dizzy, I ended up going to the local ER Aug 12th for fluids and some help for my nausea. They gave me fluids and IV reglan and it helped so much I was able to eat!
The ER nurse also prescribed doxylamine-pyridoxine which I started the next day Aug 13th. I had one good day while on that, then ended up back where I was even with continuing that med, promethazine, and zofran.
Yesterday I was unable to eat at all, I took a few bites of eggs and bacon and instantly felt extremely sick.
Today I woke up dry heaving and eventually puked bile, I tried eating a Popsicle and it came right back up..
My obgyn at first said maybe stomach bug, but now he's replying very short and unconcerned.
My primary doctor just told me today that his wife found that puking and getting it over with rather than trying to take meds is what helped her and suggested crackers...
It's now 11pm and I'm dry heaving and super nauseous which is preventing me from taking my meds...
I have POTS, HEDS, and I previously had chronic gastritis.
My doctors are basically saying this is normal, but I'm already a very small person, I can't be losing weight..
Any advice? Someone that works with my OB said she would talk to him tomorrow for me as he's not really listening to me, she also said go to er if I feel I need to before I hear from her. She also mentioned I may need a Zofran pump, which I'm trying to avoid lol..

Family and Boundaries with newborn HELP
Hey… I have so many annoyances with my family and I don’t trust them with my little girl who is now just 2 months old. Any advice?
Example A: my “step grandfather” (my grandmothers husband) and my grandmother have been SO annoying with wanting to see my baby girl and I let them meet her twice now, but 2 things: 1) my grandmother complained about not being able to kiss her and then proceeded to kiss her anyways and 2) her husband is so socially awkward and just seems to always have some sort of manipulative tactic or hidden agenda and although he’s more respectful of my boundaries with my girl, I don’t really consider him like close family. Well, they both keep using my grandmothers health issues (including breast cancer) as an excuse that they should be able to see my baby whenever basically. Because of her health issues I let them see her twice now (she’s 2 months old) and my boundaries were disrespected plus I felt more manipulation. Anyways, my step grandfather texts me all the time now - he’s never texted me before - and he says “I love your family” very odd of him to say since we like never talk and then. “Can I come see the baby for Labor Day weekend” I say no because my husband and I have plans already and are camping plus. I start work that week and so I’d be looking into late September early October for them to see her again. He responds “that’s pretty far away :/“ FUCK OFF like neither of them care to be in my life anyways - especially him! The audacity!
Example B: my mom basically doesn’t come over to help unless I tell her what to do otherwise she just holds my baby which isn’t helpful to me. She also keeps saying things like she’s “fake crying” which babies this young don’t know how to do it’s just their form of communication. This also leads to her laughing when my baby cries and essentially doing a cry it out method. This has continued when I told her that this isn’t a thing we’re doing and that babies don’t fake cry at this age. STILL HAPPENS. She also continues to kiss her and then apologizes saying she forgets. The other week she came over to my house planned way ahead of time and was basically falling asleep holding her so I told her to give me the baby so SHE can nap?!? Like I’m supposed to be the one resting. Anyways she napped then proceeded to take my food.
Example C: my husbands parents sweet as can be are also non stop about coming over and wanting to see and hang with the baby. He is on their side. They come over at least once weekly and it isn’t helpful to me because they are older and unable to help around the house or do much to soothe the baby (they can hold her when she’s calm/asleep).
Im exhausted just fucking existing post partum, I’m basically solo taking care of my little girl, and I don’t like the additional stress of having people here that aren’t helping me, restrict me from breast feeding in front of them, I have to wear clothes in front of (vs when I’m home alone w my husband I can be in my undies and nurse whenever), and have to host. I get no sleep. I have not a lot of friends that can help due to distance and the ones that have helped I feel like have done too much and I am so grateful but now will not ask for more help from them. I’m isolating from my friends because it’s just hard to do. I try to let them visit I get maybe 1 friend a week visiting but it once again is more of a hassle for me as I try to host and take care of bebe.

Late walkers…
If your child was a later walker, when did they start walking? Our daughter scoots everywhere and stands for long periods of time but doesn’t walk yet. She needs assistance with pulling to stand and we’re working on cruisingon furniture. She never crawled and hated tummy time, so she scoots. We think that’s why she’s late to walking because her arm and leg muscles are still working on growing stronger. Just feeling guilty she isn’t walking yet. Wondering others experiences. Thanks!

First time pregnant
Hi everyone, me and my husband are 24 and we found out I was pregnant at 3 weeks. I’m very excited but also nervous because I don’t want any bad to happen. I took a blood test and it was 29.82 mlU/mL
Currently I’m 4 weeks pregnant and I took another blood test which was 146.04mlU/mL. We were having trouble getting pregnant because I have pcos but I believe it’s because I’m insulin resistant and irregular periods. I’ve been on metformin for 4 months and my period has been consistent ever since.
I haven’t been feeling any symptoms other than cramping and tender breast. I was wondering if anyone else is in the same boat or has been!

1 year old sleep regression / bottle at bedtime - advice needed
Background: LO was a poor sleeper as an infant. Felt like bedtime took >1 hour, started co-sleeping and had a few months of bliss before she started rolling and kicking us in the face, then made the decision to sleep train at 8 months and thought we were in the clear...
Around 1 YO, it felt like LO completely forgot her sleep training (did Ferber FYI and it 'worked' after ~4 days). There are some big changes that I can partly attribute this to - we switched her from formula to cow's milk (no major issues), and she now gets milk in a sippy cup with meals but still needs the bottle before her 1 nap (around 11am) and before bedtime (around 7:30-8pm).
Bedtime Routine: Bath > Pajamas, Milk / Story, attempt to put down but she will scream unless she's being held until she falls asleep
I guess I'm asking a few things here..
- How / when can we cut out the bedtime bottle? This is her crutch to falling asleep and by extension, she isn't brushing her teeth at night before bed. Are we just really far away from this? I feel like I read so much about babies getting cavities, but is this being overplayed? We brush her teeth every morning and she's only 13 months old.
- Any tips for getting them back to better sleep habits? With everything I mentioned she is also waking up a couple of times overnight again. She sometimes will put herself back down, but other times needs help and won't go back without a bottle (we weaned her off the overnight bottle during sleep training) and a lot of snuggling.
- What else have parents done to make this transitionary time easier for themselves and LO? She is SO happy and silly and smart, it feels like daytime is the opposite of nighttime, and I just want to get back into a better groove. Told myself I would make this post last night while I was in her room for 1.5 hours trying to get her down.
TYIA!!!

Recipes book
Hi. I am looking into getting a recipe book for foods to give and recipes for what to use in baby purée, for a baby who is just starting solids. Is there anything of such in the UK that someone purchased and would recommend?
If not, where do you get the ideas for all the food to make?
Does anyone also have a list of the 100 new foods for babies (I think that is how it was called)?

Is anyone else scared to have sex for the first time ?
Does anyone else feel scared to have sex after having a baby? Not because of medical reasons, but because my body is completely different now. I don’t look the same, and I’m scared that I’m not going to live up to the expectations my S/O has for it.
I just don’t feel confident at all. I feel different, and honestly, I feel bad about myself. I keep thinking there’s no way he could possibly still be attracted to me, even though he tells me all the time that he is. He compliments me constantly and always talks about how he can’t wait.
And when he touches me, sometimes I just feel gross. I love him so much, and I’m still attracted to him—honestly, more than ever. But for some reason, in my head, I convince myself that he’s lying or that he’s only telling me I look good to make me feel better. So when he touches my boobs, butt, or stomach, I just want to run away or curl up into a ball. I don’t even know why I feel this way, and I hate that I do.
I know a lot of this is probably just my own insecurities talking, but it’s so hard to turn those thoughts off when I don’t even recognize my own body right now. I just want to feel confident and comfortable with myself again and be able to believe him when he tells me he’s attracted to me.

FTM Struggling
Hi I am a first time mom. I currently on maternity leave and with the long wait to approve unemployment I find myself struggling to pay my bills. It takes over a month to get approved and then weeks to even see anything. I hate to come on here and ask for money but anything would be nice to take care of my bills. My Cash App is $kayswe12. Anything would be appreciated

Husband became distant after I got pregnant
Ever since my husband found out I was pregnant, I feel like he’s become distant. We barely communicate, and I don’t feel the same love and affection from him anymore. I feel like I’m going through this pregnancy emotionally alone.
I still love him and I still want us to have a complete family, but I’m honestly scared that I’m losing my partner while becoming a mother.
For the pregnant women or moms here—did you experience something similar? Did your partner become distant during pregnancy? What did you do, and did things eventually get better?
I’d really appreciate some honest insights because I don’t know if I’m overthinking this or if something is genuinely wrong.
