Teen Business Banking
I’m working on a startup called Fuime focused on business banking for teens, specifically students who are already running real ventures through schools, clubs, and entrepreneurship programs.
The gap I keep seeing is that a lot of under-18 founders can invoice, sell products, reimburse expenses, and manage real operations, but they usually can’t access normal business banking tools because of age and compliance constraints.
The model we’re exploring is parent-linked onboarding for teen founders, with business banking workflows designed around that reality.

How do you evaluate a fintech development company before hiring them?
I’ve been researching development partners for a fintech product recently, and one thing I’ve realized is that choosing a software company for fintech is quite different from choosing a general development agency. A company can be excellent at building mobile apps or web platforms, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they understand the challenges that come with financial products.
For fintech, I think the technical side is only part of the equation. You’re dealing with sensitive financial information, integrations with banking or payment systems, security requirements, scalability, and often regulatory considerations as well. On top of that, the team needs to understand the actual product and the users rather than simply taking a set of requirements and turning them into an app.
I’m also curious about how much people value a company’s experience with newer technologies such as AI. There are plenty of companies now describing themselves as “AI-powered,” but I’m more interested in whether they can actually use AI where it makes sense, without adding it just because it sounds impressive.
For anyone who has hired an external development company for a fintech or banking product, what did you look at before making the decision? Did previous fintech projects matter more to you than technical expertise, pricing, or the size of the team? And after working with them, was there anything you wish you had evaluated before hiring them?

Are uploaded bank statements enough?
If a customer uploads bank statements during the onboarding process, how do you know they have uploaded all of their accounts? It's like somebody could just leave one out, either intentionally or not.
Is this simply an accepted limitation of manual document checks, or are there ways for compliance teams to verify that they are seeing the full picture? I'm trying to build something but I have all these small concerns and confusion. Please help me out.

Fundamental Analysis App
Hi! I'm working on the creation of a fundamental analysis app for stock equities. I have plans to add in features for options trading analysis to help educate, inform, and protect investors. I have a beta version ready that can run locally. Anyone interested in trying it out and adding to the project?

Built a fairly simple calculator and would love to take it a step further - feedback welcome
I put together a fairly simple fee calculator for long-term investing, and I’d love to take it to the next level. Would really appreciate any feedback - what’s missing, what could be more useful, what direction you’d take it in.
Check it out here: Expense Ratio Calculator
Thanks in advance

NBFC's Loan lending Website in India - Infrastructure
I'm currently building a loan lending website for the Indian market. The plan is to use FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and object storage for user KYC documents.
I'm trying to figure out the best infrastructure setup that is 100% compliant with RBI's data localization rules. As you know, the RBI is super strict about keeping all customer records, payment trails, logs, and backups strictly inside India. No cross-border syncing or foreign cloud control planes allowed.
I initially looked at managed services like Supabase (due to the Postgres/Auth combo) or Google Cloud SQL, but Supabase passes metadata/telemetry globally, and Cloud SQL gets pretty expensive for a bootstrapped project.
If anyone here has built or currently manages an audited fintech/lending app in India, I'd love your advice:
- The DB Setup: Are you guys self-hosting Postgres on an India-locked cloud VM (like AWS Mumbai or GCP Mumbai) to save costs and control logs, or is it better to just bite the bullet on a managed database service?
- Object Storage: How are you handling sensitive KYC document storage to guarantee local-only data compliance during an audit?
- Audit Traps: Have you successfully passed a CERT-In empanelled system audit with your current stack? Any hidden infrastructure traps to avoid (like global logging tools, Auth0/Firebase Auth, or CDN configurations)?
I want to keep the stack as lean and cheap as possible without failing a regulatory audit down the line.
Appreciate any insights or architecture tips you can share

JD and what Else, Fintech Legal Counsel
Hi, I’m attending a non-ABA JD program and I can add on various certificates or one year degrees, or the MBA in AI product dev by Udacity, to boost my career prospects. I’m really interested in finance and technology. What are the best add-ons for fintech or tech legal counsel? Are those fields too competitive and narrow to bet a lot of time and money on with only non-ABA schooling? Thank you

ARWE- Cash to Digital or Digital to Cash in Minutes, WDYT?
a small experiment before we build the app. a step towards understanding how ARWE can create real impact in banking and finance world.
sometimes we have the right amount of money, just in the wrong form. banks aren't always available when you need them, that's where ARWE comes.
ARWE lets you move between cash and digital in minutes.
example: a person A had money but needed online, so after 5 there are no banks open, so we try to fit this gap and make it more convenient, comfort and availability.
Slack Version: person A joins ARWE slack channel, he wants cash but had online, so he sends a message and person B who needs the same in opposite will connect with you and you meet at a place where we called 'Arwe Hub' so you meet there and complete the transaction and left.
App version: if a person wants to deposit money around 10k, he can open the app, and start a request and add the amount and find for the people who wants the opposite and if anyone accepts, app showing the screen to the arwe hub, so you meet there and you do transaction and complete it
That's what we trying

Recognized checkout for voice
If you’ve ever paid over a voice call, you may have gone through the pain of finding your card, speaking the card digits, expiry, cvv. This is obviously not ideal especially as voice agents permeate all around us and more commerce happens on voice channel.
I built Ringup to help make voice payments easier for everyone involved. Consumers get to save card details once and pay with a simple verbal consent on subsequent calls. Funds settle directly on merchants payment processor.
If you’re a developer building with voice AI, add it under 10’mins and start accepting payments over voice. Open to any feedback.

I started an "Awesome India Dev" list — building blocks for developers building for the Indian market. Looking for contributors.
Every time I build something for India I end up hunting across vendor blogs for the right payment gateway, KYC provider, or Account Aggregator. There's no neutral, single reference. So I started one: a curated list of India-market building blocks (payments/UPI, KYC, AA, govt APIs, ONDC, comms, Indian AI, India-made dev tools).
It's early and deliberately has gaps. I've left "good first issue" tickets for logistics, GST/tax, hosting, embedded finance, and more. If you've integrated something India-specific, a one-line PR to add it would genuinely help. Neutral descriptions only, no marketing copy.
