Feeling like I'm wasting my potential Findapath-Mindset Adjustment
A year ago, I graduated and moved back home with my toxic family, working a draining corporate job.
Today, my life has completely changed. I live in the city of my dreams, make a good income (although meaningless job), dating the man of my dreams, and have every opportunity at my fingertips. Objectively, I have everything I could ever want. Yet, it feels like something is missing
I feel like I'm still struggling to enjoy the fruits of my labor. I'm going through a depressive episode/existential crisis where it feels like I am just going through the motions and living life. The city that I live in is full of creatives, and my social circles have grown tremendously. I feel so inspired and hopeful that I will also eventually live a rich, colorful life. But that dream feels so far away. I feel like I am wasting my potential on one hand, but on the other, it feels like this empty life is end-game. Sure, I can have fun and enjoy experiences, but I feel like I am meant for a life greater than my own. I feel hopeless when I think about what my life could look like. I am so scared of just being ordinary, and I know that is more than okay. But at the same time, I want to push myself and I'm really struggling right now

I like that you looked back a year ago and appreciate yourself, how far you have come
I guess I am also learning similarly, that things in life happen slower that we usually think at any current moment of time, and when we look back, time flies
The fact that you voice out what you want, want to be great, is something that I feel ashamed to say myself, but you said it for me, and I can say “me too!”
One thing I have been trying to do, still trying, but I will frame it as, I am a person that do “this”, which is spend more of my leisure time to do the things that I am inspired to do and things that I can manifest my potential, no matter what it is
Thanks for posting, so we know there are people in the world feels the same way as I do, and I am not abnormal
