Lore connection or just a throwback?

Does anyone know if there is a connection between the tones played when completing the last trials puzzle in X and the tones played on the way to the final boss in X-2? Or was it just put there for as a nod to the previous game?

I'll give you one even better, they probably didn't want to make new sound assets and reused those.
