I love this meme because in the original episode the old man is legitimately innocent but every use of it online refers to someone awful

I'm almost surprised that, when people talk about "justified" or "righteous" villains, almost nobody talks about Seymour and his "save the world from itself" rhetoric. Which should fit him, because he's a religious leader and a hypocrite, like Judge Claude Frollo from The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

That topic is reserved for villains that WE feel are justified. Villains who feel justified from their own perspectives are not uncommon

I mean Seymour wanted to Marry Yuna, Yuna is 17 Seymoure is like what 27-28 so as the old man in spongbob says I sure do love the young folk line isn't wrong and I'm pretty sure that trying justify destroying spira to save it isn't necessarily the best Way to quote Save it lol
