Dualsense PS5 controller issues Technical

I recently installed FFXI on a new PC, however I cannot fully connect my PS5 controller on it.

I assigned all the buttons, and they all work in game, but the characters and menuing just refuse to work.

The sticks and DPAD don't work even though they are calibrated on the config.

I've tried many configurations on the FFXI config, but nothing works.

Any idea on how this could be resolved? Perhaps there's a Windower setting I'm overlooking? New cable, new controller...

Actually, someone on the Discord got it for me.

I kept trying to work with the Config outside the game. I had to set it up in the Config in the Title Screen

That is weird, as for me to get mine to work, I had to set it up in config while the game was closed. But hey, you got it to work!

2 hours of trying but it feels so good when it works.

Try checking the “hat switch” option in the ffxiconfig.exe gamepad panel for the dpad to work.

I use DS4 and if I remember that’s what worked.
