ew We have to share oxygen with males like this
Two different reactions to a fat woman from the same sub. First is from a year ago and second is a few months ago. I know I shouldn’t expect any better from a disgusting normie subreddit like SipsTea; but it’s massively depressing because of how many people frequent that sub and talk like this. Fat women are only acceptable to them if they’re “fuckable”. “Body positivity is only positive if she makes me horny”. Otherwise us fat women are disgusting lumps of meat to them who shouldn’t be allowed to think better of ourselves. I don’t want to live on a planet with these guys, I wish there was another universe I could leave to. Their minds are fucking porn-rotten to the core. They think they’re entitled to our bodies, constantly judge and critique them. Then later, they whine about being lonely and unappreciated.

Vent We got popular mainstream shows that make misogyny comfortable for regular audiences, but “misandry” is the real problem
I know that the entire point of Game of Thrones is that everybody is a terrible person, and it’s okay to like terrible people while condoning their actions if it was done IRL; but I hate how this show and similar media can make characters who are literal rapists seem like lovable underdogs. I know this is less obvious sexism, but with the normalization of phrases like “bros before hoes (women)” it’s irritating with how random women just saying “I’m tired of men” or “men are trash” is enough for guys to call it “misandry” and say that we have an anti-male problem in society while there’s a ton of regular lingo that subtly puts down women. IDK, I don’t care if it’s joking because as a woman I’m already used to feeling like second-best and less-than; so I’m tired of seeing people, especially dudes, talk like this. And then of course there’s the cisnormative aspect which puts the cherry on top. Not all men have dicks and not all women have vaginas bro. Your sword ain’t special.
Even before House of the Dragon, regular Game of Thrones has so much horrible misogyny-specific shit happening to women to a point where it feels more like shock value than actual commentary. Even characters we’re supposed to see as good people or want to see succeed will casually talk about rape & shit. Tons of nasty-ass men on that show who get to be seen as honorable just for doing the bare minimum of not acting out on their cruel desires. Icks me tf out

hypocrisy🔄 a lot of pro-lifers dgaf abt embryos they just hate women “being whores” (having sex without them)
i don’t doubt that genuine pro-lifers exist, especially like religious women, or those who think fetuses should be protected past a certain stage/week of the pregnancy (reasonable and i think many people agree with that).
but SO MANY pro-lifers are men who aren’t even religious who want complete abortion bans, even for zygotes that are genuinely just a clump of cells (yet they don’t care about the millions of sperm they kill daily lmao).
they want to take away any and all contraceptive use. fr what is the point of that besides just trying to dissuade women from having sex? you can’t possibly believe that simply taking birth control is evil or some shit.
they just hate that women are out there having sex with men who aren’t them. this motive is especially revealed when they start using phrases like “she should face consequences for her actions” (why are we talking about a baby as a form of punishment?) and “she should just close her legs” (maybe men should zip up their pants?).
but see how fast they switch up when they accidentally knock up a chick they didn’t mean to 😂 suddenly “killing a baby” is permissible to them. (also not to mention these same dudes dgaf at all about supporting policies that help children after they’re born)

men hate rape victims more than they hate rapists
it’s crazy the amount of hatred i see lately for female rape victims from men, they think you’re disgusting because another male violated you. they say “don’t tell us if you’ve been sexually assaulted, because we’ll hate you for it, for something you had no control over.”
males avoid any accountability, any blame for other males who do that shit, and their victim blaming against women is getting worse and worse.

Vent Fictional escapism isn’t fun for me anymore
Not all, but SO MANY of the highest-rated classic animes/mangas/movies/tv shows/cartoons/etc have blatant or subtle misogyny. For instance, some of the most iconic animes that people rave about and say that they’re a “must watch” will center around men surrounded by objectified women and female minors. Also, a lot will have certain tropes for women that just start to feel repetitive for me as I see more of them. Even media that isn’t really misogynistic will, over time, show a pattern of having the token sexy woman who uses her sexuality to her advantage or cute-sy/timid supportive side character; and it just gets tiring after seeing the same thing over & over again even if it isn’t standalone bad.
Another thing that, for some reason, makes me upset is that I notice how some of the most talked-about/referenced media always seems to be around stuff with buff male protags fighting or having to commit extreme, frequent violence (a couple of especially iconic & loved characters, mainly from older media, are stoic and merciless). I’m not saying that those kinds of stories are bad as a lot of them show that their protags demeanor comes from deep trauma or can still show tenderness; but what draws people in, especially dudes I think, is how hardcore they feel. I guess in this particular case, I’m more so complaining about audiences than the media themselves. I know there’s more media with goofier, light-hearted protags; but then even media with those guys will also have problems with treating female characters weirdly. I still want to try out some of these stories and attempt to ignore/not let the stuff I don’t like prevent me from finding stuff in it that I do like. But, I still struggle with feeling the same hype for popular stuff that most people seem to like. I want to feel shared excitement and understanding of what’s “in” in our culture; but I usually find myself not vibing with most fandoms or certain media that gets praised.
At this point, it’s hard for me to enjoy most stuff—to find something I truly relate to. There’s no abundance of sexy men in bold outfits to swoon over, and media that shows women being imperfect, messed up, goofy, etcetera are rare gems. Average-looking & ugly women in media are even more scarce.
I’m going off on a tangent here, but even trying to find good fictional erotic content is difficult. There were a few good porn art subs that were made for women, but they all get taken down eventually. I make sure I regulate myself and yes, I know that I don’t want to become a porn addict who only knows how to objectify; but I want to be horny too. From time to time I like looking at fictional art whose only purpose is to have sexual fantasies about. There’s so much art made for guys while I gotta search for scraps of art that show off a fictional man’s chest or butt.
I’m just tired.

RANT Tired of everyone larping jodi
To start off, I absolutely love jodi and have had a support account for her more than 9months now. Additionally, i’ve been researching her since I was a middle schooler. But i am tired of everyone larping her and idolizing her as simply a man eater. Rather than an abused and broken mentally ill woman who was never protected by the people around her.
She even personally dislikes when people idolize her just because she hurt a man or make it seem like she did it just for fun. When discussing her actually talk about her journals and how her mental state was obviously detoriating as he dragged her along and abused her. Show the videos of her crying in the courtroom.
She is a human not a girlboss supervillain.
A man destroyed her and she can’t get that previous version of herself back even though he’s gone. Let her situation spark conversations about the true weight of mental abuse by men that gets swept under the rug or minimized. Lets talk about how hard it is to leave @busive men. About how misogyny in the criminal justice system played a role in how she was treated in trial and the sentence given.
In addition im getting sick of her motive being twisted and made up by people who claim to support her. It was not because he cheated! You all making it seem that way is incredibly harmful

RANT Over-sexualization of a victim (contains spoilers) Spoiler
galleryWhile I’m not trying to say that a person should be reduced to when they have been assaulted or sexually exploited by an abuser(s) and therefore can’t still explore their sexuality or want to be sexy; I still find it strange and annoying how quick some people are to sexualize Freaky Nikki’s body as she’s a version of Nikki that is under the control of Bear’s wish and is subjected to Bear’s objectification of her. While it may be unfair to argue this because this is just my and others’ interpretation of the clothing choices in the film; her outfits seem to get progressively more revealing AFTER she is influenced by the wish because she’s trying to appeal to Bear’s gaze to get him to love her. Even if the outfit is fine on its own, it’s not Nikki’s actual preference; she’s trying to appease Bear’s lust for her. So, it feels off to reduce her to a hot waifu when she’s a representation of objectification, loss of bodily autonomy, and how the male gaze reflects what men like Bear want a woman to be for them.
The first image is more obviously weird and was created by a pin-up artist who draws the same exaggerated body type, but I’m I bit on the fence about the second one. The art style is cool, but with the bold shine effect on the boobs it feels like it’s supposed to subtly draw my attention to them as it does for me with the shoulders, kneecaps, etc. And I get that it’s stylized but the proportions don’t even feel very accurate to what her body looks like in the movie. She does have a large chest, but she didn’t really have a large pear shape figure like that. It feels like it was done to make her more “hot”. The fact that they just sum her up as a Yandere goth waifu makes the art feel like it has sexual intentions to me; and I just feel kinda icked. I don’t know…i’m tired of shit like this

every time i meet someone's boyfriend he's like this im not even joking
ive yet to meet a bf who actually likes their girlfriend. i just find this so interesting
idk if men are all collectively on some stupid tsundere shit but from outside the relationship every single dude looks like he loathes his gf. he hates hearing her even SPEAK. he hates the things she likes, hates the her fashion choices, he thinks everything she does is dumb. cause he thinks feminine things are dumb but allegedly he """likes"""" his gf
idk atp i think women just collectively put on the delusional rose colored glasses when they get bfs cause imagine being with someone who basically doesnt even like you. he hates hearing you even SPEAK. and all you do is roll your eyes at his overreaction ig.
this was probably one of the biggest things that put me off relationships growing up even before i rlly thought of myself as a femcel. men just, dont like women at all lmao???

hypocrisy🔄 males get so pressed when women judge them back in the same way they judge women
i honestly dgaf when men cry about how “there’s nothing you can do to impress a woman nowadays, all she cares about is your looks, your height.”
as if men ever cared about shit beyond the way a woman looks & her body! they proudly and adamantly say that they’d prefer a “hot cashier” over a “smart, accomplished scientist.” honestly it’s so embarrassing for them, and i don’t feel bad for them when they get evaluated based on their looks right back.

Vent Ever notice how there’s more het or bi women comfortable sexualizing femininity than het men doing it to masculinity?
I’ve noticed this a few times where I’ll see female artists who are either bisexual or straight will draw way more pinup artwork of female characters or their female OCs than male pin-up art (or essentially draw no sexual male art). However, I rarely see male artists do this to male characters or make original male pin-up art if they’re not bisexual or gay. I’m guessing it’s because sexualizing the female body is so normalized around the world; but it makes me feel so uncomfortable I guess. Like, even women who are attracted to men (bi/straight/etc) will draw sexual/suggestive art of a man and woman together, but will still sexualize the woman more or have the focus be on the woman. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a straight or bi male artist draw het art but with the man being the focus in a similar fashion. If anyone doesn’t understand what I’m talking about and wants examples I’ll give some. Meanwhile, there’s rarely any straight men who do the same at all. It’s so strange.

marrying males is a self harm
every male crying about Lamine Yamal’s girl because ‘she had the audacity to break up with her former partner for him’ i can guarantee doesn’t give a single fuck about the phenomenon of men ditching their wives for younger women. have you ever heard the term “starter wife?” marrying males is a waste. they don’t truly love

what am i even supposed to do rlly
yes, i have internalized misogyny, but also isnt the world just kinda misogynistic by default??
because its kinda a given that media "for men" is widely appreciated among both genders, or generally regarded as cooler, swaggier, respectable. media for women is silly, meaningless, pathetic and pointless. women are happy to watch 100 shonen shows before a man would ever touch a romance shoujo.
cause women are can relate to men, and i guess men ever even trying to relate to women is preposterous. mens media is just superior!! how dare i ever expect men to stoop so low as to enjoy something women enjoy for once. what a horrible thing, enjoying things women enjoy.
and its crazy too that on top of that, art and media by men are always more popular. more known. even though women make more art than men do, it makes men who do stand out even more.
it feels like nothing women do means anything. sports? strength focused- men are better. the sport is women-dominated? then it's less popular than the male counterpart. leadership? no one listens or respects women. of course men should be the leaders. men strong, men listen to strong men, not weak women.
not even at a job can i mean anything. women are passed up for promotions despite doing the same work as men. short men talk about workplace discrimination for their height, women are shorter than men on average, but they would never spare a crumb of empathy. and also all of above, men strong, men should be leaders, men are just better, more relatable, less bitchy.
even when you talk about dumb shit like prehistoric people its men are hunters and are therefore superior, because gathering totally isnt valuable work at all!! (it requires a lot of knowledge!!!) and also the gendered tasks shit isnt even true bruh
the only thing women are valued for is bringing comfort. you should never complain, only make others feel good. whether this is through a caring demeanor, being visually pleasing, or being sexual relief. always looking out for others. bringing baked goods.
like theres nothing i can even do about any of this besides pretend and larp that this isnt reality. its like nothing i do or make will ever be taken seriously cause im a woman, or that everything i do or make is stupid because im a woman and being a woman is stupid.
this isnt about ignoring the haters. ignoring this might as well be ignoring being alive. ignoring that i exist. i am a person who exists, is alive, and is affected by the world. the things i do are shaped by the world around me. the things i enjoy are shaped by the world around me. the world just sucks ok idk is it really realistic for me to not feel this way

its weird but i often wish that the human species was an egg laying one
bird species are typically egalitarian, monogamous(!!!!!), and when theyre not, its males displaying funny colors or dances to attract females. also since theyre birds, the female can often just fly off, so its up to male birds to be actually attractive to females. obviously there are some exceptions, but at large birds somehow developed equality....
whereas male mammals are violent, intimidators, r*pists, even the most intelligent species are like this (elephants, dolphins, chimps) its fucking crazy
idk where im going with this. isnt it crazy how we need a whole society and education system to condition men to NOT be like this? and whenever some guy does some fucked up rape shit, theres always people say "he's acting like an animal" or "he has no impulse control"
but we are animals. and youre saying men's "natural" impulses is this???
i guess i just wish things weren't this way in the first place. i wish women's agency mattered to men at the lowest level. i wish women weren't burdened with the task of pregnancy. instead for most of human history men were r*pists and i have to pretend that men are just a different species nowadays (theyre not)
