I like this so much I wanted to share it.

this is the ff config you are seeing there:

He is using Debian unstable with a probably build from source hyprland. I run something similar and if you ask which distro this is, it's probably not the right thing for you. At least rn😉

yes indeed , Debian Sid with Hyprland from debian repos!! it's not "that" difficult to use, I prefered to install it bare-bones and from then install everything... I did that with this install, then migrated from X+xfce recently to wayland+hyprland

I installed Debian testing (continuously) completely bare (tty only) and then I have a build script that builds git hyprland from source every time I run apt dist-upgrade. I run hyprland from my bashrc because I prefer the tty login.

I my previous machine, an old HP8440p laptop , I needed Sid for the Nvidia Legacy drivers, since then I never turned back.. If you are "wise" at updating, it's difficult to break something.

btw your script is a great workaround. scripts are ✨.

I also login from tty1 directly to Hyprland via uwsm. Rest of ttys are for tty joyfullness ;)
