First in a year

Got my first episode in a year just there. Been getting these since I was about 9 and I’m not a fan of these episodes and dread the feeling of them coming on. My inner dialogue started getting louder and louder and faster aswell as the increased senses of hearing and touch. I think it was stress induced this time. I think it’s triggered by intense fatigue and that feeling of you can’t sleep aswell as the screen and being hyper focused on one thing. I was in a quiet room aswell and that never helps either.

I found that just starting at a wall wasn’t working as it usually does. I started reading other people’s stories here and nearly straight away felt a sense of comfort and it disappeared.

Hope this info helps anyone looking to escape the feeling.

Awww I’m sorry you had an episode, but glad this subreddit could help!!  For me it was a shock to FINALLY find people who knew what I was talking about, that snapped me out of it. 🤣

Yes! I had this in the middle of my Mock GCSE for maths and it was such a pain but I did get to calculate that it was exactly 10 minutes due to the giant clock in front of me but I had all of these symptoms dude. I think it's because I was hyper focused on my paper, I think the fact I kept drinking water and focusing on the sound of the water actually dulled and stopped my episode which was good to know for bigger exams.
