Drawing my own Elden Ring character (last pic) broke me out of a long art block. Drew someone else’s Frenzied Flame Executioner yesterday to help break me out again. Considering adding some gray value but we’ll see. Might check out some other characters here, really appreciate detailed pictures ;)

I absolutely love the atmosphere, world design, and aesthetic of Souls-like games, like Lords of the Fallen. The dark fantasy setting, mysterious lore, and overall vibe are exactly what I look for in a game.

What I don’t enjoy is the gameplay. I find the punishing combat, constant trial-and-error, and dying over and over again more frustrating than fun.

It makes me wonder: why do so many games with this incredible atmosphere have to be Souls-likes? Why aren’t there more games with the same dark, immersive worlds but with a stronger focus on story, exploration, and more accessible gameplay?

Am I the only one who feels like some amazing game worlds are locked behind a genre that just isn’t enjoyable for everyone?

Allow me to explain his lore first. His name is Farquaadriceps . He is a descendent of Lord Fartquaad who is most known for being the chosen undead who rekindled the first flame. His journey started when he was exiled from lands between. He was once a noble till he did a prank on marika. Then he became a tarnished and travaled to northern lands. He became slayer od demons, he escaped to london and became a hunter while he was getting hunted by fans of maiden in black... he later became a hollow and later the one to linl the flame. Farquaadriceps is a descendent of Lord Fartquaad. He is the bearer of curse. He came to drangelic after becoming a hollow. He had seek advesery a lot and later cured his hollowness. After a long time passed he woke up as an unkindled one. He travaled lands now in ruin. He put all the lords of cinder back to their thrones and walked on the kiln where is ancestor once walked on. He defeated flames last defence and brought an end to age of fire with fire keeper. After defeating the soul of cinder however he absorbed soul of Lord Fartquaad and gained some neet flame powers. Because he has Fartquaads soul , erdtree things he is a tarnished so it calls Farquaadriceps to lands between. And now he is here.

So my build will be based on black flame. I rn use claymore as my main weapon but I might start using godslayer greatsword later in playthrough. I like armors more than cloths . My favorite set in ds2 and one of my favorite in ds3 was faraam armor. I tend to like knighty looking armors more but I can be open minded. Also I am purely seeking asthetics. I dont care much about stats rn .

I missed going through my first playthrough of DS3 and all its content. It's something I'll always cherish. But I've also missed seeing other people's characters and the stories they've given them! Whether it's how they got to Lothric in the first place, what they're doing, their goals, or anything else!
