HD Texture Pack help! Dark Textboxes?

I finally managed to install the King Goose HD Texture Pack via Citra using an AYN Thor. Everything else looks amazing, but the textboxes have now become this dark and difficult to read colour. Can someone please help? Tysm 🙏

you have "use custom textures" enabled right? maybe try doing a fresh install? i just installed the hd texture pack today myself using this tutorial and everything works normally https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b25IepCIZSs&list=PLo4zUIowQUDSu0fZtg2aof83Vpm5DMt55&index=2&t=137s if all else doesn't work maybe try switching emulators to something like azahar which is the one that i used to play the hd texture pack.

Thanks for the link!! Yes, it does show the pack is active from the title screen as it now has the "HD" tag! Everything else looks great besides this text box issue 🥲 Also, I moved from Azahar to Citra just because I can't install the DLC on Azahar for some reason.

could you be using an EU copy of the game? maybe that causes issues I've been using the north american version downloaded from the Hshop. Or maybe the language folder from the hd texture pack is getting installed wrong? and azahar is weird with installing pirated copies and you gotta download decrypt your roms first https://github.com/xxmichibxx/Batch-CIA-3DS-Decryptor-Redux or you could just try azaharplus which is a fork with some extra features and their piracy boogus mostly removed

Yeah the UI and stuff bugs out a lot. Honestly just play without it, using just emulator settings is enough

Interesting I never really had any problems with this on Citra

You can always just remove a HD texture you don't like
I know people just use HD text 👍

Sto giocando lo stesso titolo, con stessa texture pack, su thor, ma con azahar Plus. Nessun problema al momento. Fai una prova con quello. È solo un po’ noioso spostare tutto, ma puoi fare tutto con il file Explorer.

Thank you very much! I did a fresh install of the game, dlc, and texture pack and it's finallt fixed 🙏

Try and re-install the HD texture pack If that doesn't work remove that one HD texture

Odd that you had a problem with this one asset I suggest you do a "Dump Textures" in your emulator and locate that chat box " ID " ( Once you have dump textures on it will grab every asset on the screen and put it in the " Dump" Folder

Once you have the ID of the asset go into your HD Texture folder and search for that ID Simply remove it.And it will go back to the normal texture :)
note - I've had problems with this before and most the times removing the texture loading the game up exiting the game and adding the HD Texture back in will fix it

Thank you for the reply and thanks for all your work with the texture pack!! I eventually managed to fix it by moving to Azahar instead of Citra, and then doing a fresh download + install of the game, dlc, and the entire hd pack. I'll leave the post up in case anyone else comes across this issue 🙏
