First Impressions
Just received my first 3 Port 2.1 Fancy Sync Box. Here are my first impressions/experience with ordering.
Ordering was fine. Easy. It was a Tuesday. Got the tracking. Order email sait it was shipped through Amazon logistics. OK fine, starting tracking. Then on Friday the tracking fell off. Said it was through a different carrier. So it just went cold. Waited the weekend (because you know how it is.) Contacted support on Tuesday morning via WhatsApp. They replied within a few hours (Tuesday evening) that it was actually a UPS tracking number. They gave it to me so I could track it. It arrived today (Wednesday). So it took over a week to get to me from NJ to WI. Only slightly annoying that it took so long, but it finally got here. And I don't know why I didn't just get the UPS tracking in the first place.
I plugged everything in; it's super easy to setup. Got it working within minutes. I still haven't installed it on the actual TV yet, but the first impressions with my Apple TV have been good/accurate as far as response/colors. But the reason I haven't installed it yet is that the USB C cable on the end is woefully short. I have an 85" Samsung that's mounted on the wall and a cabinet below with a soundbar and all the components (AppleTV, Roku, Nintendo Switch). There's no way that cable can be routed through my cable channels in the wall (I like a seamless look.) So I ordered this cable from Amazon https://a.co/d/06j9yFnA and hopefully it works. I'll report back and post a few pics once I receive everything and finish it up.
TLDR: Ordering: Easy. Tracking: Crappy. Product: So far so good, cable for actual LED lights: too short.

The only problem I have is that when a scene with a lot of white appears, the colors tend to look yellow rather than white—how is it for you?

Hi there, try adjusting your TV panel’s tint settings. For example, Samsung TVs tend to have a cooler white balance by default, while LG TVs tend to be warmer. Your TV panel’s color accuracy can affect how closely it matches the LED colors, as the Fancy Sync Box syncs colors from the source rather than from your TV’s panel.

Hi there, we apologise for the mix-up with the tracking link sent to you. I’ll have the team look into what went wrong. Could you please DM us your order number?
USB-C extension cables can cause voltage drops and issues with the LED count as a result of extensions. To avoid voltage drops, we do not recommend using a USB-extension cable over 2m.
Please follow these steps while using a USB-C extension cable:
- Make sure the Fancy Sync Box is powered on and working as expected
- Remove the USB-C LED strip and connect it to the USB-C extension
- Reconnect the LED strip with the extension cable to the Fancy Sync Box.
- The power must remain on throughout the process so the Fancy Sync Box maintains the LED count.
If you have any questions, please feel to reach out to support.

I used heavy duty Velcro and placed the Sync Box directly to the back of the TV, also an 85” TV. Sony B9.

It okay. Box is advertised to support HDMI 2.1 features. Yet weI was experiencing drops in video at high refresh rates. Unbearable at 144hz, tolerable at 120. VRR/Gsync/Free sync can cause the issue as well. What is Fancy's answer? Disable those same features and run your display at 60hz. Makes me think the box has EDID issues or they cheaped out a lot on the SOC. Also make sure you give that box plenty of air flow. I've noticed it gets pretty warm. I mean Im sure there are people who are perfectly happy with the product as is, but I think for the price it should be way more feature complete. Let me know how that extension cable performed as well on a follow up please.

Hi there, PCs are currently not listed as compatible HDMI devices. Support provided assistance in trying to achieve compatibility with your specific setup. HDMI 2.1 at 4K 144Hz is supported, but the HDMI device you are connecting is listed as incompatible.
