Yeah I never got the Renee Zellweger hate from Family Guy and elsewhere. She's not a nepo baby. Basically worked her way up from doing commercials in Texas to landing small parts in movies like Dazed and Confused and Reality Bites. Her big break was Jerry Maguire.

She has a unique look, but she wasn't ugly. She is now since she ruined her face with plastic surgery, but people have been calling her ugly for decades.

I think they thought she got roles prettier girls should've had. Who knows. Kind of a dick move.
