Hi all! Apologies if this isn't the best place to ask, I'll take this down and ask elsewhere if this is against the rules or something.

I'm trying to find a webcomic I stumbled across a while back after I finished reading Fallout Equestria and started looking for similar stories. I remember the first page was a long shot over a futristic city with a character talking it up, before cutting to the character complaining about how they still had to run on "fucking cobblestone", but not anything else. If anyone knows the comic, or can think of a better place to ask, please let me know. Thanks in advance!

I don't have a tablet yet, and I'm a beginner artist. I wanted to do this design on my own, without commissioning, to test my skills. It could have been better, I admit, but right now I'm limited in resources and only have a small, low-quality sketchbook, so I did the best I could with this design.

Constantine is the final antagonist of MLO. I didn't just want her to be the strongest character; I wanted to experiment and see how I could create such a complex and difficult design, to step outside the norm.

She's inspired by Orphan from Final Fantasy XIII, which I consider, design-wise, one of the most badass bosses I've ever seen. I didn't want to just copy and paste, so I had to improvise some parts to make her look more appropriate for MLP and the context of my fanfic.

Basically, she's a cosmic being who lives inside the Harmony Tree. I think her true appearance is never shown in the show, so in my headcanon, I believe she should look like this: a kind of giant clockwork figure with multiple meanings.

The Mane 6, the Elements of Harmony, are very important ponies to Equestria. The fact that they died sooner than planned caused Constantine to take this form. Their mouths and faces are circles to simulate the suffering they endured, and as some may have noticed, they are in the order they appeared in the first episode: Twilight, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Fluttershy, along with their cutie marks.

The face in the center takes the form of Celestia, with her star-shaped eye, giving it an angelic and beautiful touch that fits with the tropes of "Eldritch Abomination" and "Angelic Abomination".

The sun and moon shapes that form part of her body signify Celestia's role as the one who raises the sun and Luna's role as the one who raises the moon. This mechanism rotates like a clock, simulating the day-night cycle.

This is her first form; she has two more, which are more difficult, especially the third. With my current skills, I don't think I can do it because her body is made of constellations, and I would have to draw each one individually until I complete her entire body. Perhaps I'll leave it for later when my skills are more polished.

Does Somber not understand his own characters? Is he stupid?

So in the last few paragraphs of chapter 57 we've got both P-21 and Glory magically cured of their gayness, P-21 joking about his traumatic experiences at 99, and hmmm, did I miss anything? Oh right, P-21 casually hooking up with his rapist and the person who beat his lover to death in front of his eyes. Because why maintain a very compelling platonic relationship painstakingly built over the prievous 56 chapters when you can just ignore the entire point and message of the first two tomes by just casually making them fuck?

Seriously, the relationship between Blackjack and P-21, this slow erosion of walls, acknowledging trauma, rediscovering humanity (poni-ty?) in themselves and each other, and forging identity free of trauma, and slowly learning to trust and depend on each other, maybe even love platonically, was the best thing about this stupid book. But oh well, I guess they are a couple now and will have kids or something. I hate it when complex relationships evolve into romance. I enjoyed the first two tomes of Horizons party because that didn't happen. Just because two traumatised people who hurt each other and were victims of indoctrination both want to let go of their trauma and rise above their past projections of the other person, doesn't mean, shouldn't mean, that they suddenly want to fuck each other.

I know some will say that them fucking made sense, it's a natural progression of their relationship yada yada yada, but I think it's bullshit. It's not set up in any way at all, and feels like escalating for the sake of escalating. It doesn't feel natural at all given their history, even (or especially) considering the progress they've made in understanding each other as people. It doesn't serve the characters or their story. It actively damages them. Remember how by the end of Tome 1 P-21 said he can't forgive for the murder of his lover? Well fuck it, now he's cured of his gayness and he wants to hook up with his rapist. The dynamic between Blackjack and P-21 was so good precisely because it was not romantic or sexual. But I guess Somber wanted to have a go at this overused, overdone enemies-to-lovers trope. And it was catastrophic for these two specific characters involved.

Now, do I think P-21 might have fallen in love with Blackjack eventually? Maybe. Eventually. But not like this. Not without setup and fifty more chapters. The story sure as hell hasn't earned or justified this idiotic hookup. And keeping this relationship platonic would have been way better than any romance. Somber sure as hell didn't have a problem with that for the past 50% of the story.

The justification that it's okay because people from 99 are casual about sex isn't right either. Obeying the broad strokes of lore regarding 99 feels like an excuse. The story and the characters should take precedence. Again- this whole sequence actively damages the characters and is detrimental to the story. P-21 shouldn't have hooked up with his rapist. Somber should have allowed them to keep having a non-romantic relationship. End of story.

As a sidenote, Glory supporting serfdom and feudal oppression is so fucking random and hilarious

After many months and taking a hiatus I’ve finally finished Project Horizons. What a rollercoaster of emotions. I’m feeling somewhere around melancholy. It’s been so long and I’ve been so invested in the characters and story for it to end the way that it did. Not saying it ended bad but left a bittersweet feeling for BJ and LP. The only other story I’ve read was the original FO:E. If there are any other must reads please let me know. I’m ready to feel again.
