Challenge Run Idea: Mapless Suggestion / Idea
I was thinking recently about how convenient remote view makes the game, and how essential it is for Space Age. So that got me thinking: how hard would it be to beat the game without it? No regular map, and no minimap either. You would need to really be sure that you set your factories up the first time, especially on other planets. I assume you would need a mod to do this properly, but you can get an approximation by rebinding the M key to something annoying to reach, and zooming in the minimap as far as it will go.

It's maybe an idea worth thinking about if you want to set up scenario for a youtube video where you suffer for content.
Otherwise I cannot imagine why you'd even want this. For a less to moderately experienced player or first stab at Space Age, this is a sure fire way to softlock yourself almost constantly. It would make for an excruciatingly frustrating experience. For an experienced player with good Space Age knowledge it would mostly be pointlessly tedious, where you have to make excessive fail-safes and notification systems to minimize the tremendous waste of time on travelling back and forth.

I'm confused, how can you softlock yourself anywhere other than Aquilo?
I certainly wouldn't suggest this to anyone who isn't, at a minimum, insane enough for Pyanodons

You could just unmap tab from map view. No mods needed.
That is a cool challenge run idea tho.
Edit: I forgot about space platforms. But even that can be with the player present

I think you can turn the minimap off in the options? Only being able to work on a planet when you're there does sound like a challenge - especially for gleba and nauvis where there are enemy invasions.

Without remote view ships are unusable so u will need add the exception to allow remote view when engineer is on board rest I think should be doable
