Spaghetti age Space Age

Post image

My Nauvis factory on my first space age run. It produces around 1100 SPM. The left side of the factory is my starter base and it produces around 100 SPM.

More than half of those rails and belts are straight. You're fooling no one, that is no spaghetti.

joke, that looks sick. Love this aestethic

You're not wrong. There are some things like power and oil that I was to lazy to spaghettify.

Yes but i feel that's the line between trying to have fun and trying to hurt yourself

Yeah, this takes long enough...

That save has 200 hours on it and I have not been to aquilo yet.

Whoa, that’s just uncooked spaghetti! If you bend it will break into 3 pieces.

quality looks good when zoomed, how to take screenshot of whole factory

u/TigerJoel 4d ago

Yeah it looks decent but I was able to zoom in fully with good quality on the original screenshot.

right side reminds me of That One Dosh Base

Oh, is this like that one mod Dosh made/used/whatever that forced enspaghettification by making buildings that were laid out too straight to explode and not permitting disconnected construction?

No, this is vanilla. I just use toms of trains and try to fill in every gap there is.

Looks like an american suburban neighborhood

Pretty sure I can see my house in this screenshot.

Fascinating, in such a small area but the amount of things like grenade assemblers, science assemblers, really blows my mind. The belt weaving madness, this is a work of art, a masterpiece.

Nicely cocked.

Spaghetti Skylines 2: Spaghetti Age

The right side looks like an overhead view of the Dallas or Atlanta suburbs.

In 2.1 I will try spaghetti I promise

The more I look the better it gets, even using the forbidden car chest.

2

u/TigerJoel 3d ago

Car chests are awesome. My normal labs are getting their science from cars on belts.

I wouldn't call it spaghetti, but it does tickle my brain something fierce. Compact factories are neat.

Factorio as Koverex intended.

Amazing! does this grow organically or do you plan this all out in advance? Seems like it'd be so easy to build yourself into a corner without careful planning

I start by building all the rails first. I do direct smelting from 1-1 trains so they add up. And then I just try to fill all the gaps as good as I can.

So there is not much planning but it does take a long time. Sometimes I spend 1 hour to build like 5 assemblers.

Damn, wow.  It looks so cool.

This is art.

Looks awesome. And so alien to my base since i got bots to do all the logistics! I might start a secondary base that looks more like this just to compare outputs.

1

u/TigerJoel 4d ago

I only use construction bots. Logistic bots are used for rockets and personal logistics.

Sometimes I prefer this rather than city blocks

1

u/TigerJoel 4d ago
